Thanks for the advice man....
By the way I have one more question. When I first got the bike, the engine used to make a sort of growl when i used to accelerate, and I could really feel it pull like mad. After first service, the engine feels smoother and more refined, however, I feel like that growling sound is gone and now I need to rev it a lil more to achieve the same response. I don't know if its all in my head since this is my first bike and i'm only getting used to having horsepower at my command (maybe it takes more torque to excite me now). But i wanted to clarify with some other owners. One of my friends has an R15 and mine is beginning to feel a lil like his (more refinement but less growl). Is it just me or is there something more?
Thanks for all the help

Now i am scared , it has been like this since day one and i have completed 5k kmsOriginally posted by Shivanshu View Post
Abhi thats surprising, unless and until I am stuck in traffic my fan doesnt kick in. In hills its only at Kalka where the traffic is jammed up that at times fan has come on or else all the time it was good. reduction of coolant level drastically needs some supervision and expert hand. get it checked.

I am responsible !

may be you have got used to it. As long as the ride is refined, vibe free and handling well, you have nothing to worry about.
my bike hasn't seen her first service yet ( blame it on the exams
), but things refine after the first service, don't worry she's fine!
No its not about speed, its about turning and shifting those gears!

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

Guys My R15's chain gets lots of rust. it was parked without mobil/oil for few days after wash with kerosene and now it has red rust all over on it... Today I was washed it with kerosene again and apply mobil but rust hasn't gone completely. Any idea?
Another question: My R15's battery is totally dead. My bike is 8 months old and done 5000km. The main problem is I couldn't find the battery for R15 in here (Bangladesh), I'm temporary using a Lucas battery 12v 4ahm non-MF. which definitely will die anytime. Is FZ/Fazer's battery will fit on R15?Adnan

Well the rust is because you not able to take good care of it buddy. Which grade Mobile Oil do you use. And remember if you park your bike for long, then remember to check the chain for it to be lubed. The rust will go slowly with usage and proper lubing may be at intervals of 500kms.Originally posted by adnansanni View PostGuys My R15's chain gets lots of rust. it was parked without mobil/oil for few days after wash with kerosene and now it has red rust all over on it... No Fz/Fazer battery is more broader than R15's so ti wont fit, I think you better contact your service center guy and tell them to arrange for it. Or look for Tata Green or MInda batteries online, which are the stock batteries, and see if they can be ordered online.

on last few weeks. Due to lack of battery and having pain on my wrist where I had an operation few years back; couldn't ride it. Recently I've bought a RTR, so I've little-bit busy with that. Anyway, I'm using 20W50 engine oil on the chain. I hope rust will go soon as you said.
My stock one was from MInda and on service center they have 9pcs MInda batteries as a spare-parts for R15. But shocking news is all are dead. Now one guy from there suggest me to use the battery from gladiator. but I'm not sure about it. Online shopping aren't possible from here. I'll try to buy one from Calcutta through someone if I can.Adnan

Depends on how thoroughly you're using it. It is reported to last 12-15 times by users here.Originally posted by veyron999 View PostTo all those who clean and lube the chain themselves, how many lubes/cleans does a can of motul last???

Well I wont suggest 20W50 engine oil on the chain, try getting as Motul or OKS O-ring Chain Lube if possible, prolonged damage to the chain can permanently cause the chain to cause problem. SO first rectify the chain problem.Originally posted by adnansanni View PostThanks @Shivanshu, Yes it is true that I wasn't able to take good care of it
