can you please click some shots where the rear fender eliminator (number plate holder) is installed to the tail?? i was planning to install one on my ride so it would be great if you kindly take some shots of the part from all angles and the place where it is bolted... any idea on the price?

About My Riding Style on my Baby R15 Version 1.0

My Riding inside the chennai city traffic is : I used to do Minimum 60 km/hr - 100 km/hr Only !! I used to touch 5k - 7k Rpm only in tachometer ! I don't Do rash drivings as well as give sudden throttle !! This is my driving style on my Baby !!

My Baby R15 Mileage on city - 40 km/liter [ Sometimes 42-43 km/liter ]

My Baby R15 Mileage On Highway - 45 km/liter [ Sometimes 46 - 47 km/liter ]

Yesterday Me and my mom went to Melmaruvathur Temple and returned back to my home !! I got 45 km/liter . I did 90 km/hr - 115 km/hr . Total 140 kms !!

But My Question is

1. I would like to go for CBR 250 R ! [ Not a question ]
2. I go for Non ABS version or C-ABS version ? [ Anyways i can offer both , i go by Finance ]
3. Is it Worth the money which we spend ?
4. Do this bike withstands for at least ' 2 ' years ? [ If i Maintain Properly ? ]
5. Honda Engine is Good ?
6. Will there be any rattling or Vibrations from the plastic parts , Engine ? [ If i maintain 5k rpm - 6k rpm / Or if i do speeds over 100 km/hr ? ]
7. Do this bike can do 100 km/hr speed without any struggling on Doubles ? [ If the rider and Pillion weighs about 160 Kg ? ]
8. Handling part is good on straight path and as well as on corners ?
9. I hope there would be no Problem with the ABS , if i brake on Wet roads ?
10. If i maintain 5k RPM on CBR 250 R till 1st service is done and then 6k rpm till Second & Third service is done & [ If I don't Do rash drivings as well as give sudden throttle ] and maintain Minimum 50 km/hr till 1st service done and 60 km/r -100 km/hr till 3rd service is done = is there any Assurance that This monster delivers me a minimum mileage of 30 km/liter inside chennai city ? If it 100 % Delivers means i will be going for this monster !!

I used to put petrol @ shell bunk !! [ Not a question ]
11.But , I have seen only 1 CBR in Chennai !! That Monster No. is TN - 22 CX - 9909 [ Not a Question ]
12. I used to drive about 30 kms on weekdays & 60 kms on Weekends in City !! Once a month i drive in Highways !! [ Not a Question ]

12.My city ride places are Pallavaram - K.k.nagar - Mambalam - Mylapore - Broadway - Mount Road - Saidapet - Guindy - Pallavaram - Kundratur - Mangaddu !! [ Not a Question ]


I request you to please clarify my doubts !! If the response from you guys makes my mind clear ,i will think whether i go for this monster or stay with my Baby R15 V1.0 !! I Kindly request you all or any one to answer my each and every question with patience !! It's a Request !!

New bike

Hi guys I am Saurabh.Currently i ride a HH Hunk.In the past 5 years i have learnt a lot in riding and so has my expectations changed.Earlier i really enjoyed 3K-5K rpm city ride and highway ride on my bike.But now i tend to shift only after 7K and somehow i am now feeling that Hunk is not the right bike for this kind of riding and neither does it provide the feedback or handling that i am expecting now.Above all quality is my top priority(actually the main reason for my inclination toward R15).

Now my hunt for a new bike has narrowed down to R15 version 2.0 and CBR 250(non ABS).Will R15 be a worthy upgrade from a 150CC HUNK,though i am aware of its top end capabilities.Is it capable enough at low rpms as well when compared to other 150CC.I am asking this because as of now i am not able to get a test drive anywhere.

Guys i know most of the owners here are version 1.0 owners still if you could give your inputs based on that it will be helpful.

Well here are answers to some of your questions in BOLD.

Got engine mounting bolts tightened, Fairing bolts tightened, turned to Motul FS for smoothness but still vibrations remain from under the tank and footpegs. Solution?

get the bike pressure washed, lube the chain...check the slackness too..
what about the tappets btw?

Ok. Will sure do. Yeah got the tappets adjusted too. Bike doesnt feel sluggish now btw. Also am using Simota air filter and i guess that's what is affecting the bike's smoothness as it really has a stronger growl.

R15 vibrating

I own yamaha r15..it's been 3 years and it's handle starts vibrating as soon as I reach the speed of 50 km/h.
Please guide me about the problem and the solution.

Tappet adjustment

Do the service center guys do the tappets adjustment ?? They dont even bother to clean spark plug or charge the battery ..

Silencer powder coating

@All: Here is a pic of my bike's silencer after powder coating.
Though the paint has flaked off a bit due to improper sandblasting/rubbing, there is a lot of difference compared to the rusting old one!
