Thanks for the info buddy!!Originally posted by Sarvajit View PostYes, they have 2 red ones with them&I think Venkatesha also has 1-2. Work out how you can get it. They don't courier to other cities.
I told you the visor&speedo flap fell off after the impact. Alongwith that obviously all 4 screws flew off. I could pick them up&refit, but couldn't find the screws on the road. The headlamp cowl is held in place by the allen bolts on the sides, but the 4 visor screws are missing.
Yeah the mechanic was also telling me it looks good, but the plastic ones are longer&hence stop vibrations. How much&where did you get the allen bolts for? The SVC says they are Rs.68-75!
Most of us had the same problem after a few months of hard ripping. It is the engine mount bolts as svjhonda said. Check digislayer's pic&get them tightened at the next service. I remember the profound difference in smoothness when it was done after 6 months!
Yes you can get the clipon changed, I'm not sure whether it is Rs.135 or 300.
How much did the FZ feelers cost? The R15 feeler is Rs.250 odd whereas the footpeg itself is only Rs.65!
I assume you have gone for the billet clutch&brake levers? I have the same on my bike too. One costs Rs.1000&the other is 1100. They look excellent, but very expensive to replace in case of a fall. I had to replace the clutch lever after the 1st fall when someone tipped it over in my building. I stopped using the paddock stand after that.
It is a part of the accessories, have a look at the line above&also get a copy of the catalog. They sure look&feel great, though they will fade soon.
Of course thats daylight robbery- Fazer's nuts won't fit-they're shorter.
I'm trying to lay my hands on the plastic type of screws aftermarket, but they are really long, lets see if I can get them somewhere!
You will get only the footpeg, not even the feeler. You have to buy the bracket etc.separately.

Congrats Shreyas! Mine too is Sunset REd... the pics in the album... And BTW complete your running properly.. coz I think my bike Tappet has gone for a toss.. I will need to tighten them in the first service.. The reason why its like that must be that I gave it to my frens for test ride out of my sight.. and they must have revved a hell and also one time I remember my uncle was carrying a heavy pillion along with him close to 170KGs (combining both) Also, everything of this bike is damn costly.. even the Oil Filter costs Rs. 500 and the Disc pads are also damn costly..

You are right. Both cost the same. 14.50. Each clip on cost 325 Approx.Originally posted by svjhonda View PostI think you meant 'feelers', right? That is the peg scrapers na? How much did the 'manufactured in faridabad' cost you?
And I guess the clip on costs some 135 bucks.... Even my steering is bent, but I'm unable to determine whether its the fork, the triple clamp or the clip-on thats bent...
He he. i was pissed offf when i heard that the R15 feelers cost 265 bucks. Its insane pricing.Originally posted by Sarvajit View Post

The showroom guys told that FZ'z feelers will not match R15's pegs. Damn, i said i just bought a pair for 30 Rs odd and they fit like a dreams
.
The made in Indonesia Clutch and brake lever are not Billet one. Its the normal black one. For track day regulars, Its a pain in the A$$ when using the billet type levers. Pretty expensive to replace.Last edited by GP_freak; 11-14-2009, 07:57 PM.

If you watch more closely, the handle itself is as wide as the mirrors IMO..Originally posted by jd666 View Post@priayatam - if you notice, the width of the rear view mirrors is slightly more than how much the indicators stick out, so if anything, thats an indication of how much gap you need to keep/maintain, but that would be only if youve kept the RVM.
So there shouldn't be any question of fear regarding the indicators..
Anyway..I have got this question about teflon coating since long and always got mixed opinions about it. Is teflon coating necessary? How exactly does it help? Is it worth enough? Does it help or ruin the paint in the long run?
Many told me that once done, the coating cannot be removed and it may ruin the paint if you try to. Also, the amount of visible scratches is same with or without the coating. And, also that it generally messes up during rains.
Please help me with some info on the whole 'teflon thingy'..

either jump in, and get it done religiously every 6 months.. Or stay away and stick to good old fashioned polish and wax... ( basically if you can spend the time and energy, do the latter, or else go with the former. )

I was talking about Apache's clutch and brake leavers!

Would they fit into R15?

@GP freak - i got the brake lever and the gear lever adjust at the first service itself. Though the range of adjustment in the brake lever is limited, but still it makes a lot of difference!
