Speaking of service, how often do you v1 guys replace the rear suspension link holder plates?
I'm getting them changed approximately once in every alternate year when I find the rear is sagging and looks short.
saikat was pretty much spot on. The irritating frequency vibe that one hears from the front side of the console almost stops when one touches the visor or slightly flexing it towards himself, the noise completely stops. The small gaps around the visor where the plastic flap of the console meter and the front number plate mounts meet. It's from this spot that the buzzing sound comes. I used double sided tape, black preferably, (I used white) cut it in small sizes (which should actually fit your index finger tip), and use broomstick stick to slowly wedge in between the console plastic and the visor, slowly and steadily. It should solve the irritating buzz that one experiences, at least mind came down 85 to 90%, the rest I don't even hear with the helmet on.

The headlight assembly and everything is perfectly fine, don't fiddle with it. Everything will be tight and torqued well, but still this sound comes only because of this minuscule panel gap

    Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
    The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

I've recently changed tyres after lot of scouting for stock options. MRF Zapper S 100/80 is no longer available and I went for Pirelli Angel CT (CiTy) from www.tyremarket.com
For the front, MRF Masseter FX 80/90 is available but not in all cities. It wasn't available in Hyderabad or even Bengaluru so I booked one off the MRF website with my location as Pune. A friend's brother who was traveling brought it for me.

The idea actually came into me when I hold the windshield and pulled it towards me it stopped vibration. Try it.

100/80 Rear is hard to find. Try 110/80 from Ceat & 80/90 is available as MRF Masseter.

Thanks for the inputs guys. Much appreciated. The rubbers are still in place and I've even replaced the dome nuts, costly as they are.
The sound I'm hearing is not from the dome area but on the left side near the tank.
Yet to figure it out. I think it's a side effect of the 3 crashes. Headlamps, fairings all were replaced but something is not fit right.

Rubber Grommets below the Black Plastic Console Panel may be missing.

          Thanks for the prompt response!
The grommets are in place but maybe the rubber has hardened so I wil try replacing them.

If those grommets are hardened, just apply a dab of grease or oil and install them back. If you find the sound is quietened, then we've found the culprit, if it isn't, then it's definitely coming from somewhere else. Keep us posted, Sarvajit.

Sure, I will be picking up the grommets and visor dampers from SVC and fitting new ones.

On another note, the v3 disappointed me to such an extent that I have made up my mind to restore my v1 to mint condition and cherish it for as long as I can!

More niggle fixes and repairs planned as soon as I get a new job. [emoji16]

An original is always an original. We can overbore, add VVA or even turbocharger or supercharger and god forbid who knows what else, but, the humble evergreen design of the R15s and that tail lamp is a stunner I tell you, sexy as it may, forever and ever.

                Cheers!

Like you already know, I've never been a fan of modding. Just my personal opinion, but I feel more mods need more specialized maintenance, and reduces longevity.
In the early days I remember people going for larger bores and projector headlamps but not really being very happy with them.
I frankly couldn't feel the VVA in action on the v3, and the higher I revved, the rougher the engine sounded.
In all the 3 v3s I rode, the entire body vibrated like crazy. And here we are running after removing a small vibe after 3 crashes and more than a decade!
You are right. The bar is set very high by the original v1, the v2 and S came close but never felt right to us. V3 well, it's really good looking but that's about it.
Yes, the design and the way v1 was designed, makes it comfortable to use in all scenarios. I still take mine to the highway once in a while and it does 120+ with ease.

On the plans front, I will be reverting to all stock look. Will rip off the carbon fibre stickers when I change the broken tail panels. Will also repaint the front rim black from golden when I replace the rear rim.
I will leave the LEDs in the parking holders and the tail lamp though.
                  Sigh! Waiting for some dough...[emoji28]

                        Need help from Bangalore guys.

                        The speedo has stopped working.
The collar in the wheel hub needs to be welded. Sensor is fine.
Can you suggest a shop which can do the welding?
Don't want to spend on a new wheel.

First off what happened to the hub collar, was it glazed or something. Secondly, there is no point welding it as such, as a mistake in welding would mean your sensor won't sit flush. Try sourcing a used rim at second hand spare shops, you should get a good deal.

                          Cheers!

As per the SVC (2 of them), the sensor is not able to take reading from collar.
They said collar got withered with usage, hence wheel need to be changed.
                            Some suggested welding can help.
                            So thought of asking.
                            But thanks for the reply

                              Hello guys.

I wanna know the part number and price of the front brake master cylinder of R15 v3 and the clamp holding it to the handlebar. I'd also like to know if it is the same as R15 v1/v2.

                              Thanks in advance.
