  • ****ed up buying OSRAM NightBreakers 60/55W.
Have replaced Left hand-side of R15-v2 alone to Nightbreaker 60/55W, and found the light output was even bad thatn stock.
Hope the reflector design doesnt support H4.
Tomorrow will revert back to stock.

No way to increase the Headlight without using Projectors?
Please Help as I hate projector setup.

      • Completed 3yrs of ownership of the bike a few months back. As per Owners Manual, brake-lines need to be replaced.
How many of us here have got this replacement done?
Also, would anyone have an idea if the steel-braided brake lines of the KTM Duke 200 can be used on the R15?

I'm from B'lore too, & am looking for the rear tyres myself (MRF Zapper S - 100/80, 17").
Did you have any luck in finding the tyres? Pls share shop & price details.

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

I think the OEM lights are H4 only. I replaced the RHS light(high beam only) to Philips Diamond vision 60/55W and I am getting a slightly better light output. Its not very much better than the original setting but only somewhat better.

My R15 has done 3 years 1 month. I replaced the brake lines to steel braided ones 4 months back, but I bought specific lines for R15. You ll have to check the length of P220 front brake line and KTM Duke 200 front and rear brake lines and decide whether they are sufficient(shouldn't be short or too long). If cost is not a problem, try HEL brake lines meant for R15.

The HID wont help without projectors mate, and you need to fit the projectors with the complete metal stand to support it for the best results. Other alternative is using a 5 AMP amaron battery.

Did you changed both bulbs to 55/60 h4 and were the pilot lamps changed to lower wattage led ? as the H4 55/60 if used in high beamn with led pilot lamps they are the best combo. The other way round is if you can find suitable led replacement for the rear tail light as i tried hunting other bulbs but could not find any.

I am wondering as i had kept my low beam on while riding if there was any short circuit issue which lead to low beam bulb failure, it should not harm the high beam right but alas both have gone bad. I repalced new bulbs which i had with me but they also are not responding.

Please let me know what else to check.
I had this weird problem few months back.. due to the constant abuse, the H4 sockets had gone loose, and the bulbs won't glow. Check if that's the case, else.. check the continuity in the wiring.

I've done a great deal of looking around in Bangalore, and I found the best prices at Banswadi MRF Franchise. JC roads folks are no good! So far, me and my friends have purchased a minimum of 6 tyres for the R15 in the past 6 months. Trust worthy guy, you won't be disappointed.

Boy! I used those bulbs for my Saddlesore attempt on P200! These bulbs are marvels.. Try using it on high-beam, you won't be disappointed.

I got the brake lines from Indonesia via a friend for around 3K. However, the lines were a bit longer than what I had thought of getting(90 cms front, 60 cms rear). For needed dimensions, get your hands dirty and measure the existing brake lines

You can get HEL lines specially designed for R15 from their official distributor in India. They are perfect length and simply need to be swapped without any modifications.

                        Hi awesomeo,

You are absolutely right. JC Road folks were outright disappointing. I'm glad that you mentioned about Banswadi MRF Franchise.

Can you please quote the prices at which you got the tyres lately?

Also, it would be really helpful if you can give me address details.

                          • 5 Watt led tail lamp. Can you please post the pics as the existing stock is 12 V and eats a bit high amount of battery, Also would like to know which bulb you fitted in tail and parking light, as in stock the single bulb does both the things.

Did you replaced your stock battery ? Is the battery getting enough charge as i heard from people every 9 months you need to give it for charging and all.

Hey Sri, If I am not wrong then even you had changed your battery to 5amp amaron, right ? So hows the performance ? Is it getting drained quickly then normal ?
And hoe about the output etc ?
