Shrinath Bro..!! I'm kinda new to this thread and I'm an Owner of V1's cousin bro V2..! Is it possible to add additional batteries for our baby'? I'm gonna fix projectors and HIDs Will it Drain the stock battery soon? Ours a 3Amp battery right? If i change it to 5Amp it will shrug off the warranty so is it possible to use up projectors with stock battery itself?

@christo - why cant you do one thing fix a 35 watt hid 4300k with projectors also called as bi xenon hids, as the stock battery can support that. You can go for the 5Amp battery, but for that you need to remove the stock battery out and there is tray below it which also have to be removed to fit it in.

I guess the V2 has a different charger as comapred to V1, so please check the same.

@somen - i am still running on 3.5 amp the stock battery and i have replaced my pilot lamps with LED and using 55/60 philips extreme on high beam bulb which is suffice for city riding.but i would be going for the 5amp battery soon once i get any way out to give the max output via the battery charger.

sorry, the battery is stock one(got confused about the capacity) and only one bulb for both tail and braking.

strange thing happened Yesterday.
thumbed the starter and the display and tacho went blank. turned the key to off and then to on again---still nothing.
tried push starting and she started to my Relief.
took her out for a spin suspecting low charge in the battery.
Observations:
1. Engine malfunction light(orange) was on at low beam
2. on switching to high beam, every thing including ignition goes off for a fraction of a second and comes to Life again.
3. but the engine malfunction light and high temp light(red) stays on for few seconds and then turns off.
4. all electricals are performing OK.
5. tried turning off and starting a few times but had to push start her every time.
6. after 2 runs, the warning lights were not coming on anymore.
7. but thumbing the starter results in nothing(not even a sound) other than flickering of the LCD display.

Battery connections, etc seems ok but not even a sound from the starter motor---but starts on push starts.

Is it a faulty starter motor/relay???? please help

Ok, eagerly waiting for the results of this Projector set up with 5 amp battery.

Yesterday I met with yamaha mechs and asked about the battery charging respect to V1 charging capabilities. He said 5 amp can easily be recharged and used with projectors HID. But he stressed on running of bike should be more than 15-20kms/day, don't know the logic behind, but he said it's required for charging.

Infact he was very sure with 3.5 amp battery supporting Projector HID

They are different. FZ has more broader then R15 V1 and IF R15 V2 is same as V1 then you can conclude.

I got my front for 1800, but my friend got it later for 1750. I replaced my rear tyres for 2.2K.

No, you can't add additional batteries (unless you do some silly jugad, which obviously won't work). You can replace the stock 3A with 5A, and it won't void your warranty.

V1 and V2 have the exact same stator coil, same part number. The output is exactly the same.

Get those real-time volt meter from Navnish. It helps a ton and lets you know when your batteries are running out of juice!

bro which type of projector your referring ??? and btw my bike is running on amaron 9 amp battery with pilot and tail light on led, its been more than 8 months have not faced any electrical or battery drain out problem

not sure bro. but it starts on pushing and all electricals are Fine

This won't give you any exceptional change, but 2-4kmpl drop in average. And sound will change, it's on individual whether they like it or not.

Petrol openening rusted

Did any one saw their petrol tank's opening rusted badly !! Mine Petrol openning below lid is badly rusted. Was thinking that is there any way it can be cure ?

I need a starter clutch part no. 5YP-E5580-00 (sometimes called one way starter), can arrange payment quickly if someone can get me it costs around 1200, as usual unavailable in Goa, delivery times are a minimum of 15 days, this normally goes up to 1 months

I had burnt out a starter motor around 6 weeks back, so ordered a new one on emergency order, it can after almost 3 weeks, then fitted it, burnt out again, took for rewinding, again we tried, cranked up first time, engine off tried again with 2-3 small cranks nothing, removed the starter motor, had began burning again! sent the motor for rewinding, got it back a couple of days back, we had discovered last time the wheel starter wasn't turning freely, so we needed to remove the magneto to check, finally we opened it up this afternoon and discovered the springs had fallen out and one or two pins were jamming the gear, so I checked with all the service centers in Goa, no one had the part, now it's unlikely i'll get the bike running until January, the real bummer is the bike is going for painting next week and i'm going on holiday to Bombay the week after, ideally would like the bike up and running before i send it for repainting.

Cheers, it's really pissing off using the car all the time, so please help if you can!

Yeah, that was the case on my bike also. Although I have done nothing to correct that. Can we go for lid replacement?
