  • hello ,last week i changed my fork oil and fill it again to 240 ml in left and 240 ml on right fork as per the service manual.
now the problem i am facing is that the fork feel too soft it has lost the stiffness it used to offer earlier, due to which during harsh braking the fork pumps in inside too quickly,so the braking confidence is also lacking. i even check it with my friends new bike the fork has less stiffness and it even act strange on rough road !
1)so is advisable to top up with additional 5-10 ml of more fork oil ?
2)why is this happening as i filled the oil to company's specification?

240ml ? really? Because my fazer needs 525ml of oil for a single fork.
Please check the service manual again.

My bike has done 190 kms,it revs freely between the 3k-4k rpm range, but then when it increases beyond 4K RPM(4300-4400) ,the engine is not smooth like as it was within the 3K-4K RPM range.
i know the R15 is a rev happy bike but is this the way it will behave during the run in period...am just worried about this.
Please also let me know if the oil and the oil filter has to be changed too.
I have also not crossed the 5K RPM.
Congrats dude for the new bike, and welcome to the club.
Regarding the engine as all suggested you need to give it the time to set itself. Also dont ride at more than 5k RPM for atleast 1000kms. I followed this advice and the engine is smooth as butter.
        Cheers

If so, add a little more oil. It reduces the compressible air and stiffens the fork.

Yes as Vasu said buy another bottle of the Fork Oil and tell your mechanic to put it in both the Shockers equally. And then let us know. After putting the Fork Oil pump the shockers by applying front brake and see if it gets better. Also you can take for a spin and apply front brakes and check if everything is working all well or not

                            • Hey guys, originally posted in V2 forum but no replies there, so please help me out on this.

I am tempted to use K&N rc1100 because of the sound K&N offers. But am well aware of the ill effects also, so this is wt i have thought off. Use RC-1100 right on the pipe itself, in side the Air Box, then use the stock filter on the top so that extra air could not enter air. In simple words i plan to add RC-1100 inside the stock Air intake system on my V2.

Can you guys suggest if this is a good or bad idea...?

^^^ all you are doing is adding more resistance to air flow. The consequence will be drop in performance as air will not flow efficiently.
