    Just replaced with a Amaron Probiker 5Ah MF battery - 1100 bucks. 24 + 24 months warranty.

Just need to remove the foam at the bottom and modify the terminal clamps a bit.

I changed the clutch basket myself at home last weekend. The center nut needs a tool called the clutch basket holder. But, I could manage without that. Just locked the bike in gear and used the rear brake to hold the clutch basket from rotating.

But for just changing only the plates/springs, no extra tool is needed at all.
I do hope you have tightened the nut of the clutch basket to proper torque tolerance. It can loosen (personal experience) and lead to disastrous consequences.

    • Hi Friends,
My v2 got stalled today a couple of times ( when the engine was cold and the idle RPM was about 1000.
After riding a while the idle RPM got to 1300 ( which used to be before ) and everything was normal.
Is there a problem with my fuel pump or the fuel or some other stuffs?
      Totally confused and worried..

^^^ increase the idle speed (cold) by 200 rpm, you should be ok.

I did the best I could. Locked the bike in 6th and used maximum force while my friend held the rear brake. Do not have a torque wrench here. Anyways the collar thingy there should prevent the nut from slipping up.

No disadvantage as such with the 5A Amaron. In fact it should be better due to the higher capacity. Also, cost is lesser.

              Thanks abhimanyu31,
Noe my bike runs normally as if nothing has happened.
when the engine is Cold idle RPM is 1500 and when the engine gets heated up the idle RPM is 1300.

Hi Abhijeet, Is installing 5A Amaron just plug & play or does it need any changing of electricals?

                • Any one uses puncture solutions on their R15 ?
If yes let me know how are your experiences. I am plannin to go for some good solution if available and has good results.
Slime heard a lot about it gets thickened after lot of riding in hot roads so if anyone using any other gels please refer.

speed1985 - i think the inner tray has to be removed to fit the 5A amaron battery.

Finally stuck to stock. Bought stock Tata Green battery for 1300(after trading old battery) from the authorized dealer in Hyderabad. MRP was 1600+. Was wondering whether the battery needs a bit of charging. With high beam on, the horn squeaks a bit. Need to check in a day or two.

Yup, using Ride on TPS system for almost 6 months now. The system has not given me any problems. Have gone through the monsoon with reasonable peace of mind that will not get stuck in the rain with a flat tyre. Totally worth it.

Yes, it is almost plug and play. You need to remove the foam and modify/replace the terminal wire clamps a bit to fit the new battery.

                        • bro please share the link and details, and most important how much you paid for installin it in both tyres.

@everyone - one small observation i came across, when i filled my rear tyre with nitrogen the tyre took really long time to warm up and getting the proper sticky grip in corners, while when i filled with normal air i found the tyre were warm enough in less than half of kms covered and were sticky inspite of the lean anggle was increased. So Is is like nitrogen filled tyres take more time or are there any other adjustments to be done, I fill 2 ps front and 35 ps rear both normal air and nitrogen.

The installation cost were about Rs. 400/- per tyre. Please go through the website, its very informative and will answer all your queries. The Ride-OnIndia Tire Protection System (

                            • hey all, yesterday afternoon while coming back from alibaug i hit a pothole at speed of 90+ kmph and it seems the jerk has done some issues with my headlights as they have gone bad, i checked all connections and everything like pilot lamps, starter, brake light and all are working fine. I am wondering as i had kept my low beam on while riding if there was any short circuit issue which lead to low beam bulb failure, it should not harm the high beam right but alas both have gone bad. I repalced new bulbs which i had with me but they also are not responding.

Please let me know what else to check.
