Chain and sprockets were replaced at 3K kms back and rubber were also replaced with that. I think injector is the main culprit. And do you mean taking the injector outside to local injector cleaning guy.

Yes, also worth cleaning your throttle body as a precaution, may even be the culprit.
Beware of Bread, don't say I didn't warn you!
More than 98 percent of convicted criminals are bread eaters !
Statistics show that more than 75 % of violent crimes are committed within 24 hours of eating bread !
Bread is known to be extremely addictive. Subjects deprived of bread and given only water, actually begged for bread after just two days !
Bread has been proven to kill. Scientists have now uncovered alarming evidence that 100% of the people who eat bread will eventually die !

        Hi guys.

My front n rear rims r bent and their respective tyres nearly thread bare bald.

The trouble is, Bhopal mrf office say that r15 v1 stock tyres have been phased out. I find this really worrying, as I had a lot faith in the stock mrf nylo grip zappers. I dnt want to trial n error with tires, which hv not been designer for r15!

Can mrf so blatantly phase out tyres tired designed in collaboration with yamaha. I mean wtf r us owners to do? Go to consumer court?

Additionally, is it possible to put r15 v2 rims and tires on r15v1???

I know it looks cool, but i dont think it is healthy for the engine. You have bought a nice exhaust system i think should enjoy it.

Oh. Thanks mate! But how can you say its not healthy? I have replaced spark plug with NGK iridium to avoid misfiring which causes problems to the engine.

I dont exactly know about that, there are far more knowledgable guys here who can help on this. But it just dosen't look healthy for the engine but yeah it looks cool

Are you a Bangalorean? If so are you aware of the ban on modified silencers and shrilling horns? I badly want to know if these imported exhausts too come under the category 'modified' or what because high cc engines use such exhausts and few bikes get exhausts from ASC's themselves and they are okay with it but why not with what we use?
P.s. my friend uses racr concepts race spec exhaust (kind of growler) who was caught and faced a huge fine alongside his bike was seized and he had to goto the court to get it released. My personal experience, I was speeding all the way through a ok ok type of traffic zone and a civil cop stopped me for my exhaust.

No i am not from bangalore, but yes i have also read and heard horror stories like this. Bangalor police is really strict in these things. My friend is using a custom exhaust on his r15 from past 2 years and he' s never been chalaned for that and almost all of the bullets here in delhi have those loud exhaust and the police doesn't seem to care that much.

Congrats on the new exhaust . I too have a LV on my bike and I've done roughly 3k kms on it till now. The first thing to do would be to check if you're running on proper AFR. If you have access to a dyno then its well and good, else you have to rely on the color of spark plug to know if your bike is running lean. A light brown color indicates a stoich mixture.

Since this is a free flow exhaust, the exhaust gases would be coming out with comparatively less obstruction in its path which means the rate of flow of air through the system has increased. Assuming you haven't done any modification to the intake, there would not be a substantial increase in the quantity of air getting in. Also the MAP sensor can to a certain limit compensate for this change.

When I changed my exhaust I changed my spark plug as well. And after about some 500 kms of running I checked the color again and it indicated I was running slightly lean. Since one of friend has access to FID I got the C0 value set at +2 and its back to normal again. About the experience, I can definitely feel some improvement in the mid-range. The power delivery is much more linear now and riding in the city has become a lot more easy. Even there's an increase in FE too. Earlier I used to get 38 kmpl and now it has jumped to 43kmpl and that too with spirited riding . However if you plug-in the DB killer the entire characteristic of the bike changes and it feels much more like stock with only a little improvement in top end.

                          So in short:
Wthout the DB: More FE(43kmpl), better mid-range, linear power delivery, Loud as hell.
With DB : Slightly better FE than stock(40kmpl), same old peaky setup with marginally better top-end, not so loud.

I have a ECU and changed the spark plug to NGK iridium prior to installation of my exhaust and I think that's enough. I too felt that the FE has increased slightly but its silly to prove to the people around.
And annoying part is cops in Bangalore have started cancelling registration of vehicles using modified silencers[emoji29] and I am confused if my exhaust falls under the category 'modified' or not. They have given strict orders to local mechanics and modifiers to not entertain such orders. Don't know what to do now [emoji25]
My 18k+ has become kind of waste now and I cannot imagine of reverting because to me stock exhausts sucks with hell lot of back pressure where I can feel the torque which can be delivered by a Victor or some other commuting vehicle [emoji30]
