I guess in few months it will be fully gone.
what is cost of new sensor?
Hmm, Its 1200 NPR in Kathmandu. I am not sure about its price in your area. I hope it would be better if you use your cell to give a ring to your nearest SVC. TC

Ideally, u can keep 0.08IN and 0.10Ext, but its safer with 0.10 for both from what I've seen.
A tigher clearance(low tappet clearance) is never good. Remeber that due to heat the valves and all metal moving parts are prone to expansion due to heat. Hence u need to maintain the right clearances.
Also note that, I'm quoting the clearances based on my experience. Not on what the hopeless service manuals quote.
Have set,

0.1 INTAKE
around 0.15 EXHAUST

Now the bike has cold start issues.
It starts after 4-5 cranks for around 3-4 seconds, before it was ticky-tick engine but it started on very first crank. It idles fine, runs smooth, no wierd issues except a damn cold start. And yeah, spark plug is snowy white, seems like engine overheating.

I am thinking to revert to 0.1INTAKE and 0.2-0.24EXHAUST.
I can live with cold starts, but the plug thing is scary.
and I am pretty sure its the tappet thing, because that is what I changed last before the issue.

Inputs needed.

Hey guys..about 2 weeks ago I was looking for some front brake piston seals for my 09 R15 looked in SVCs across chennai and it wasn't available. Then I'd stumbled upon this site indiaspares.in , not knowing how genuine they were I gave it a shot as they did COD. It took 13 days to get the parts and I was charged 60 bucks as COD charges ( but if the order is above 1500/- charges are waived off). Prices are at M.R.P and no discounts.
Considering they have all the tiny rare parts, it's a really useful site. Parts were all sealed and genuine. They stock for only for Yamahas for now. And I'd also got a spare oil filter as the made in India ones is at times difficult to find. On the whole would recommend this site..just make sure to order parts beforehand and via COD only.

rajesh7: The site is really good.

@All: I have been noticing that the front brake is a bit 'loose' as in it engages with hardly half an inch gap from the handlebar grip.
Braking action is okay, but the bike is taking longer to slow down from higher speeds.

The lever itself was removed and refitted twice but with not much difference.

I have already got the brake pads and oil replaced. There was a minor difference for a few days but after doing couple of hundred kms. It feels the same again.

Any ideas on what I should check/replace?

Maybe its time to replace the disc rotor. I've been facing the same issue and from what I noticed, there're too many grooves(concentric circles) on my disc rotor. The presence of such grooves reduces the surface area in contact with the brake pads and hence the overall braking efficiency.

One good advice, thanks.

Others I got were master cylinder assembly (4.5K), washer kit of lever.
What do you think?

master cylinder assembly is pricy.
By the way, have you tried the racing brake levers for your braking problem?
I had same problem. When I use 2 fingers, the brake lever would be squeezed hard enough for it to squeeze my ring and pinky finger.
That's when I started using three fingers, now the thing stoppies like a bull.

Saw this fancy gold lever on friend of mine, I borrowed them for sometime. They are completely adjustable.
They were of MOXI or something, but I could use 2 fingers and have same braking efficiency anytime I want. It looked cool too, wish we could set 'play' on disc brakes as we can on drum ones.

I'm using the Yamaha billet clutch&brake levers.
There is no more adjustment possible with the lever.
I'm looking for some other possibilities.

That is exactly what I said.
Yamaha billet levers are costly and offers no such 'huge' advantage over stock.

I don't think you have seen one of these, I am talking about moxi levers (kind of what they use in racing), which are almost the same price and way more adjustable and good looking.
I am attaching a link to ebay, look for yourself. The pointer like needle you see on both the levers( at the end where it fits on handlebars) decided the travel between the lever and the throttle grip, you can increase or decrease it as per your needs .You can also see numbers like 2-3-4-5 on it, those are the notches where it fits.
If you have money , try these are awesome and local mod shop should have one from same brand MOXI.
It is direct fits, fits on rtr too.

Thanks for the link. I did see these recently on my friend's V1 in blue. But the up&down movement was a bit too much for my liking.
Anyway, it is not touching the grip yet. I will look into it next month when back from Japan.

I am thinking to do this mod, am going to get 200NS rear number plate holder and fix it.

thanks.

Have you tried bleeding the breaks. Works like a charm. And since u mentioned brake oil change, it's probable that bleeding wasn't done properly. U can have it redone at service center or do it at home. It's a fairly simple process, but service people for some reason take it rather too lightly and more often mess it up

No I have v1.

In fact I wanted v2 rear, but that thing is costly some 500-600 bucks. It looks so good.
So I will be sticking to 200NS or 125LS rear bracket.
That is cheap and will look better with v1 I guess.
