Hello rajesh, It was the first clutch plate replacement after completing 33K Kms in 5 years. And the earlier clutch plates were half worn out, I get those replaced only because the bike was not responding good at higher lands; like at higher altitude mountain roads or very inclined roads.

Thanks for the reply. Mine has done 69k kms..clutch plates were changed at 27k kms..bike is fine but thinking of getting the clutch checked.

And has anyone ordered from Indiaspares.in? any reviews?
Planning to order parts from there as I'm having a hard time sourcing parts here in Chennai.

Guys My Bike have done 74K and its 6years old..... still haven't faced any Clutch plates issue

... couple of times changed clutch cable...

I have a problem with 2008 r15, the very first

It used to vibrate like tuning fork or something. I adjusted tappets so now they have been reduced drastically from tank and handlebars.

But they are still there over the foot pegs. So far, checked the engine bolts(really tight) ,cleaned front sprocket and chain. Checked exhaust bolts too.
But nothing seems to work, as I rev hard, the vibrations increase drastically after 9k rpm.

What can be the problem?
Chain and sprocket seemed fine to me. so that leaves exhaust and engine mount bolt. Can too tight mount bolts cause this?
I don't think the SVC uses a torque wretch. Anyway, I am more of DIY guy.
The chain does make some noise as it passes over the front sprocket but I guess that is the rollers acting upon the bushing.

Also it does shakes a bit when on side stand, but I guess that should be normal as engine really sounds 'thumpy'

... couple of times changed clutch cable...

i too didn;t face any clutch plate problems , mine now 60,000 km run , and of 2008 first batch , changed clutch plates once around 25k till now no problem.

to both of you i have one question, did u guys changed battery , mine not changed but it showing signs of wear/trear now battery feels week

mine also has very rough engine , and some vibration , not that much as your explaining, check and tight all bots/nuts including fairing might help.
guess all 2008 engines are bit brute and slightly less refined

I can live with this, trust me. Till last year I was given scooty ES, which used to vibrate like its about to fall apart at 50kph

. This one seems much much smoother, but will try again and check to see what I can dig up, might even post a video or two here if I can't diagnose it.

My bike is an April 09 model. Battery was changed in Jan 2012. Looks like I may need to replace it in a few months, Showing some signs of age. Or maybe it needs to be charged.

Mine is June 10' model, changed the battery about a year back.
I ride very occasionally now a days and the battery is discharging and I have to push start each time.
Could it be a issue of current leakage from some faulty connection?

Hello there,

For a month or more, I am getting some trouble with my Odometer Display. As soon as i turn on the Key, I see such image "1" which lasts for 2-3 seconds and same image repeats for few seconds when I turn off the Key. After few seconds i get the Normal Image "2". Any body has faced such problem? Why is this display going weird?

My Bike is too of 2008 first batch from Orion Motors.... Battery din have any issue. But once changed Armature due to not charging of battery till now no issues

I too Had an Speedometer issue... few months back.. while riding at 90kms it use to show 20, 45, 10 kms like that. it use to act mad. but later i dont know what happen its working fine....

I faced the same problem.. when checked battery was good the thing is it was not getting charged... so changed my Armature (part which charges the battery) now its fine...

I faced the same problem.. when checked battery was good the thing is it was not getting charged... so changed my Armature (part which charges the battery) now its fine...

exactly same for me also, the speedo meter used to show wrongly say for 60kmph it shows 25kmph.. like that it all started last year when i took it Leh , there i thought it is due to high elevation, now also some times it happens , guess we need to clean up sensor [speedo] and tighten up wires.

and I assume your calling the battery charger in bike Armature instead Rectifier

In the same case of mine, i took my bike to SVC and the head mechanic told that its due to fault sensor attached in the front wheel. He suggested me to replace the sensor which is attached to the wire( connected to the center of the front wheel), and guess what, its totally fine now. . .

Replacing the sensor would be the best, the sensor has a ring rotating with two notches by which it senses the speed.
Sometimes those notches get worn out, it's common. Mine is almost worn out, but still shows correct speed.

I guess in few months it will be fully gone
