Satish: Rei, are you riding the vehicle or keeping at home&doing puja to it?
Jadhav: No yaar, the accident took place at 700 kms., after that I didn't ride the vehicle properly. Just slowly started. I should have posted this long back, a bit late in posting.

Guys, as you all know, I'm experimenting with replacing the conventiional HL system with projectors on my bike.. I need help in opening the HeadLamp assembly. I've got all the required stuff to start the project, including a broken HL assy(got from SS) to experiment with. But I'll be able to do nothing unless I open this housing first. ANyone have any ideas? And heck, can anyone atleast gimme a hair-dryer for 2 days?? (The females at my place don't have one, they say it damages the hair!)

      • Hi!

I've something silly to ask. With all of you (some good riders/ som not so good riders) getiing some problem or other with the bike, I'm a bit concerned that I haven't got any issue except for worn rear break pad.

It might indicate that bike is in good condition or we've not recognized any issue so far. It's like, you don't know if there is a virus on PC, till you run Antivirus.

Can somebody from Pune/Mumbai have a look at my bike?

        Thanks!
        And God said, "Let there be light" and there was HID Kit. And God saw that the light was good;

Hmmm...thats weird...seems like you expected lots of trouble from the bike, but nothings come up..so you trying to search out trouble..
Would love to have a trouble free bike though. Esspecially the thing called puncture. I have a Glady, so no other major Hi Tech stuff inside..

Initially, I was not expecting anything... But then, I read so many of us facing some issue or other, that I am concerned that I might be overlooking an issue

Bro! I don't think there's anything to worry about with your bike.. If your bike has any problems, you will realise it immediately..
& since you've already stated that you know what kind of problems R15 owners have faced (on this thread), and that you have none of them, you just shouldn't worry..
It only goes to show that you've taken very good care of your ride (I don't mean to say that others haven't )..
              So happy riding! & Cheers!

PS: If the problems being discussed in this thread are making you concious (about your bike), I suggest you visit this thread less frequently..

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

                    • have done 1800+kms in almost 2months and satisfied, though more power would be more than welcome and what has come as a sigh of relief, about its ability to tour at good speeds(and its engine isn't wheezy as few guys pointed out) and whatever torque she has, has kept me satisfied helped by the fact that i love revs, waiting for the performance silencer heading our way, my stand and tank protector have arrived in siliguri, but steering bolt cover hasn't, dunno why...?

my really slim presence on the forum makes me go at one moment...can't help it for the time being....

Somehow these magazine guys are super at sending some vibes in the wrong way. For once there was a 22bhp and types ECU rumour.
FYI, our ARAI will certainly not approve exhausts louder than 90db and you cant have a performance exhaust quiter than 90db. So its straight away ruled out. India having the most tight emission and db norms for automobiles, cant let Yamaha or even TVS for that matter to sell any stuff like that. They will have to be ARAI certified. It will for sure sell in other countries, not here.
For all those unlucky souls, I'll plan something, dont worry . An exhaust which will give dyno proven results and decibel levels to keep it as streetable as possible. It'll be more value for money than these expensive kits and for sure more grunty. Its my open bet to any other exhaust in business.
i was just looking at the KRP site and found that they sell an R15 pipe for 5.5k and the pipe is all wrong. I bet a stock bike will be faster. And if Yamaha is launching anything, it will be really expensive. Afterall a small brake lever and clutch lever costs 1.2 and 1.4k each. Thats insane.
I have built my first prototype. Will complete a newer pipe for Aparajith's R15 for being more streetable yet get good gains.
