Try tightening the frame nuts, exhaust manifold mounting nuts. If the problem still persists, there's nothing we can decide upon without looking at the bike in real. As far as I know, the R15's vibes are common.. nothing to worry about, I'm doubting the reason for this to be the clearances generated within the transmission block(which includes the clutch assembly) as we ride the bike. You gotta ride my bike to know the R15's true colors!!!

Wish we'd have solution to the transmission vibes too, but no mech that I've seen till date has so much confidence in himself lol!

thats quite uncommon on my R15 atleast
Vibes basically depend upon the type of run in, lubing and yes manifold nuts...

          • ^^^ That's very good and I am glad to heat that your bike has come back in shape. That even gives us confidence that such mishaps (or what ever it is called) would be addressed by Yamaha positively.

Once you start riding it hardcore like it is supposed to be, the vibes show in no matter what kind of a run-in it got! AFAIK, no one else in this forum has given the bike a better run-in than Sarvajit, you should see how he runs it to believe it! But once he has started using it normally after the run-in, only a few rip sessions, and here come the vibes! It's not a major problem, it just needs some maintenance like tightening of internals, which in the current situation is like impossible.

Just in case you still haven't experienced it, be ready to experience it in the future! And just in case you never experience it, then you're one lucky owner!

                • All the R15's i rode had a fair amount of vibes , especially when the revs build up. They were not disturbing though

Haha.. Thanks bro! The confusion helps though!
I checked the speedo in bright daylight this morning! The backlight is always on. Guess there's no light sensor.. Or maybe there is, but the one in my bike is screwed up!
Will try to get the sensor thingy clarified at the SVC (I'm just going there)..

Wow! Thats really great piece of news.. Really happy for you bro!
Its also great to know that Yamaha cares for its SVC dissatisfied customers! What amazes me even more, is the response time by Yamaha..
The advertisements being aired seem to be making more sense to me now... YES YAMAHA!

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

If you guys have noticed the bolt holding the clipons is covered by a black plastic cap (rust prevention I guess), but my query is has any of those bolts on your bikes come loose?? Because recently I had to brake really hard to avoid hitting a dumb pedestrian, and thats when the steering part made a sort of a noise, like its loose or something. I had a loose bolt on my unicorn, so this noise was exactly like that.

I tried tightening the main bolt on the steering tee, but it was perfectly fine, so I opened the plastic caps and to my surprise the clip-on bolts were loose. Tightened them, but still occasionally the sound still comes. Any idea how to secure the steering assembly completely?
                      Uhh, guys? ^ Missed something.
                      You get the point?? :D

Its surprising that it was loose. Visit the SS and ask the guy to tighten all the bolts. Not just the clip ons but all the nuts/bolts that hold the fork. And do some high speed rides/braking/cornering to test the stability of the bike. Forks are very sensitive. This will do the job. Also take atleast 2-3 days to observe the changes. The bike takes time after any adjustments. goodluck!

                        • Hey guys i am planning to replace the right side front indicator of my bike tomorrow. (I could get this done at the workshop, but where is the fun in that right?)

So any tips on what would be the best way of doing this, if anyone over here has attempted to do this on there own.

                          TIA
