It may not be bearing prob but still worth a try.
Even I thought that it might be due to wheel bearing so replaced it. But even after replacing it the sound persists..

No it not due to the tool kit or the gear foot lever. It seems the sound is coming from the chain hitting the swingarm. The chain sprocket set seems alright. Even then why is this sound coming?? I'm really confused!!

You can try one more thing, open the front sprocket cover and clean it...it may help

              Hello,

This Saturday, got my bike services and clutch plates and cone set changed. Also, changed both tyres.

The tyres are stock ones MRF zapper FY1 (R15 v2's stock front) and zapper S (100/80-17 R15 v1's stock) as zapper FY (80/90-17) was not available .

the MRF showroom guys insisted that it is ok. I'd already completed 27000 kms on the original stock tyres, it badly needed replacement, so I agreed to install FY1 on my bike.
Now, I feel that the bike leans too much too quickly on slightest hint of pressure on either handles (I am habituated to counter steering for turning or navigating the bike in traffic).

My question is, whether the slight change in the stock size (90/80-17 instead of 80/90-17) on front tyre changes the handling dramatically, or is it just my assumptions. or whether this change is effected by the whole changes (cone set + clutch plates + Tyres)??

              Experts advice needed

Hey guys need some suggessions .... 2 weeks ago while cruising down a rather good road at say 80k my bike went into a pot hole .. a really deep one . and i could immediately
feel that there was something wrong with the front end . Since then i have changed the wheel bearings the bearings on the fork mount . adjusted the handle bars etc ( all this was done
by the service center ) the bike still shows heavy vibration or tremors when i grab the brake . this is more predominant when im going over uneven roads while grabbing the brake .
The only option to stop the shivering is to let go of the brakes and grab them again . SVC cant seem to narrow down the issue , anyone else here face anything similar ?

                    Hi Bharath,

I paid 2100 for the rear (100/80-17) and 1900 for the front (90/80-17).

PS: R15 v1 tyres are not Radial So its 100/80-17 not 100/80-R17. So ask specifically for it.

The profile comes to 72mm for both the V1 front tyre and v2 front tyre. So I think the cone set replacement is a major factor in the free steering movement. The tire also might be a factor, because of the wider contact patch.

If the vibrations stop after you release the brakes and grab them again, it seems like there's air in the brake line, which is causing uneven/pulsating brake feel at the lever. Besides this, another possibility is a bent/warped brake disc. If you have a main stand, try mounting your bike and rotating the front wheel. Check for even rotation, and feather the brake. Anything out of sync will make itself evident.

Logged back into xbhp after a really long time. My bike has done 5yrs now, 53000+ kms and still counting. Recently had a complete overhaul, and its running as good as ever. Only problem now is tyres. I'm not being able to source the stock tyres for my bike. Any help in sourcing stock tyres will be appreciated.

                          Cheers.
                          You get the point?? :D

                            Guys..Have a problem

My 09 R15 has done about 56k kms and has developed some sort of rattles as if some parts within the engine are loose. Sounds like its coming from the top of the engine.
I usually change oil every 3000 kms but this time couldn't do it cause of some health issues and changed the oil after 5000kms.
The amount of oil that wad flushed out was about 550 ml.

A mechanic of mine said the bore n rings are weak n said exhaust tip has carbon deposits so engine work has to be carried out. Is this true?
Could the long service interval have damaged the engine?

I have always used 300v engine oil. Haven't experienced any problems in the past.
I had bought the bike used when it was at 18k kms. Haven't adjusted any tappets / valve clearances. So could that be the cause?
                            Experts please help.
                            Thanks

Hi I recently installed HID projector in my r15. Looks like it has created slight gap in the hd assembly. Do I need to apply any kinda glue in it coz I suspect that there might be a chance of water enter into the hd assembly... Please anyone help me. Its a precaution!!!

                                Hi guys!

How many of you are using a battery of 5Ah or more on your R15?

I'm in the market for a battery replacement, and looked at 4Ah & 5Ah batteries of Amaron & Exide respectively.
While the 4Ah is identical in size to the OEM battery, the 5Ah is a bit taller in height. Not sure if it will fit well.

                                Please advise.

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.
