You remember I posted the same kindda issue with my clutch... I use Castrol Activ 4T... Is it fully synthetic... or semi-synthetic... I get some kind of jerk when i shift up the gear and accelerate instantaneously... Also the gear shift in 1-2-3 is quite hard and difficult...

Also I noticed today that my rear brake pad is just 1.5mm thick... and the hydraulic caliper (circle drum like piston) is visible at the brake pad...
    See the attachment... guys!

Hi everyone and yes I said it right "ABS saved MY LIFE". actually in the incidence which happened 3 days prior , I saved A obnoxious Girl who happen to jump in between the flyover (I hope you all get the point , since on a flyover there's not a possibility that some one would ever cross the road since its elevated ) and this was my first day with ABS , OMG what to do next I inadvertently jabbed the brakes (front with rather more pressure on it ) and to my astonishment this thing works , I really dont care what others say THIS thing gives you a very strong and controlled braking, my bike was stable like a rock while i braked from around 65Kmph in a matter of 3bikes length with a pillion while its still raining. You know what , what happened next is just kinda nightmare this guy with CBZ X-treme at the back which was still far away (say abou 5-6 bike lengths) could not handle the situation and hit my babe 15 (WTF..@!#$%) but you know what he got his headlight assembly completely broken with right leg gard completely bent +front T-bar bent...and he manged all this with a minor fracture(I hope and pray) in left hand index finger and a pinkie.
Bros I have driven bikes since long and I know many of you also have but truly this thing works, this worked for me, It saved that poor girls Life (though it was completely her mistake and truly her sorry's and sobbs cant take any of our miseries back but then she learned an imp lesson ).
I was about to post evry pic related to this accident and ABS and my broken things but never matter. The point I wanna make here is that ABS works and you know what when you are on the road or track somethings small like (ABS worth around 1675 INR for the front & rear calipers ) is any day a price one (or at-least I)could live with when you understand the importance of braking it might save LIFe or Time everythings worth it.
BTW I must tell you I was very very strongly skeptical about ABS before installing it, mine is as otheres may say cheap china one but hey I just beg to differ that how on earth can the quality be so diff much of difference when the thing I have is full Aluminum anodized unit which just manipulates fluid mechanism. More of I have seen it, that this thing increases your braking and stability by almost 25-45% for sure.
With no intentions to brag or something, I must tell you that I honed 1st position in Novice class in Track racing on a stock R15, so you may assume that i know at least some in and outs in braking...
any further questions are more that welcome ...
can that ABS be switched off for stunters ?

"Switched OFF!!" Didn't get it somehow..

But yes It helps a lot for rolling stoppies , M trying some these days myself,
but to be honest m not into stunting but just wanna hone a rolling stoppie skill,if you could p.m. some tips plz..
personally i think pulling rolling stoppies with ABS is really easier than the stock brakes. since it does not completely locks the disc brake so this gives us an obvious edge over the stock, but bro sorry m not a stunter so i cant assure 100% , but as far as i can see you get advantage in rolling stoppie not a clue abt other stunts

            • Now water in fuel tank!!!!!!

              These problems ain't leaving me
Now when i took my bike after repairs, they did a so called favor to me by washing the bike but afterwards when i opened the tank cap there was water all around the hole and immediately started rushing into the tank, i tried to stop but in vain. Almost 30ml water must have entered in tank.
I have driven bike 14kms till then and silencer is sounding lil' bassy like that of rtr's.
Is there any problem. Please reply so as to be able to reduce any damage.

^my changes of brake pads happen prior to monsoon and post monsoon, the front disc pad is still on

The unit installed isn't electronic, its more like a mini pressure release valve, so it can't be switched off or disabled. But yes, like Prateek says, ABS should help you perform rolling stoppies effortlessly, since the risk of front wheel lock gets reduced.

Depends, if the svc does it properly, and charges reasonably for it, you can get it done. Otherwise do it yourself (and be extremely careful, I've mutilated a finger doing this. )

Its not a serious problem, but yes, next time tape a plastic over the fuel cap when riding in rains or giving it a wash. I've noticed the gap in the filler lid is more in the newer bikes than the older bikes. My friend with a blue R15 also faces this problem, whereas I never cover my fuel lid, but water doesn't really enter the tank.

Prices more or less okay. Only the labour involved in free service comes 'free'. Anything other than that is charged. You could have changed the parts, or atleast the fairings yourself and saved 150-200 bucks.

As for the brake, maybe you weren't riding with your foot on the brake, but you must be in the habit of rear-braking. On the R15 use maximum front. My pads lasted fine till 12,000kms. Even then, the wear indicators were still there. But now its a different issue.

I use only the front brake. Use rear in special cases like slow speeds, riding on sand, gravel, slush, etc.
                            You get the point?? :D
