          • Hey guys,

            Small Query

Which is the best Engine oil for her?
I have clocked 8000kms, using Yamalube SemiSynth since then.
Motul or Mobil1? and what Grade of oil?

            Thanks!

              • castrol coolant has been used by someone in this thread itself. search back and you may find the feedback. i am using the redimix "mak" coolant that is used in cars. absolutely no problem. it is cheap and effective.the only advantage with motul is that it has a wider operational temperature range.one advantage with mak is that for less than 150rs you get an entire litre and this gives you the advantage of draining the older coolant completely out of the system and refilling newer coolant frequently-every 3 months or so. with the expensive motul this is not an economical option.

                  • Guys i've noticed one strange thing about R15 headlight spread (stock condition).
Last night while riding it i felt if the roads are pitch dark then the throw of the light is pretty decent and if there is any other source of light on the road (be a low intensity) then the lights loose their effect.

                    Did anyone notice the same?

I'm not sure if this is just with R15 or with all other vehicles as well. Noticed in R15 coz its been quite a while since i rode/drove any other vehicle!
                    Inputs pls.

Is it necessary to drain the older coolant before topup the new one in it.

Well the manual suggestes to change the Coolant completely at 2years time, but apart from that you can just top it up as much as required
Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.

                        • Lighting on R15

@ harshit.d : yes what u said was true. i think on the High Beam the Head light is set to look strainght and so the Light gets spread and if u notice most of the light falls on the face of others who caome across us rather than on road. May be we can adjust the Head Light. but i have never tried adjusting it.

Yes i've also felt that the throw of the beam needs to be re-focussed with a slight downward movement.
