MY SOLUTION TO CLUTCH RELATED PROBLEM
*i change my clutch wire on every 10000 km and early also if its needed
    * get Clutch WIRE adjusted it every service from a experienced mechanic ...and early also if its needed....i suggest this to evry one to follow.
*clutch plates are not meant to be changed early ...Some SVC do bullshit just to make cash....change your clutch cable ..check pressure plates..then only replace clutch plates.
**dont ride with half pressed clutch ....if the bike needs a gear shift go down a gear and then rev !!!

I AM LOOKING FOR THE ANSWER TO WHY AFTER PRESSING THE CLUTCH THE ENGINE SOUND CHANGES..????????????
the problem you are refering is related to clutch bell-noise
you can rebush your clutch bell or if the wear in it is more you will have to change the clutch bell!
also changing clutch wire at 10000km is not necessary you need to just keep it lubricated for smooth functioning!

    Even i agree with abhimanyu31
i have also changed my fork oil and it requires 240ml in each fork
for more stiffness i have added 3-4 ml extra in each fork!

After riding for some kms I realized that the front brakes are not so effective and was worst than a proper drum brake. I could see that the pad has not worn out yet.
However, the discs had deep lines on the disc so bought new disc and disc pads to replace with the old one. The disc pad box is yamaha genuine but the pad inside is named AK V2518. I doubt it is original or not. Can anyone clarify?

u just said front brakes of r15 are not so effective, they r best out there than any other bike, [ this is frm owner of p220, i had apache 180 too, its brakes were razor sharp but can easily lockdown the tyres, worst TVS tyers]

Thanks for your comments.Yeah i know that the brakes are best. This is my second r15 and i had a rtr too. The best has become worst and I'm unable to figure out what's wrong. More info tonight after replacing the disc and pads.

                • R15 Tyre replacement..

                  Hi everyone,
Pranit here, Have done 23k km on my R15, And its time to get new Pair of Tyres for her.
I want to go for Stock Tyres, but none of the MRF Dealers in Mumbai or Pune have the Stock Tyres in Stock, ( Been Searching it for a month or 2 nw).
Has anyone here used any other Brand Tyres, or has anyone used R15 v2 Tyres on v1, I dont want to compromise on the Grip (After having used R15 Stock tyres no one will compromise on the Grip).

                  I have shortlisted :
                  1) MRF REVZ 130/70-17
                  2) Sports Demon 130/70-17

Or which else would you guys recommend..?

Try the Sports Demon in stock size. I am using one for the rear tyre and the front is IRC. Monsoon running is excellent and dry grip comparable to MRF.

Need help for my Leh ride... My R15 tyres(stock) are almost 12k kms old and will need replacement in another 2-3K kms. Now stock tyres are of no use in gravel and muck. Which tyres should I choose for this ride considering I ll ride on highways for 4K Kms and off road for 2k Kms. For rear tyre got "100/90-17 ceat vertigo" as an option. August 9th starting from Hyd. Will face rains on the way.... It is not a spirited ride... so my major concern is Leh terrain. Any recommendations.

Hey Guys ... I have dropped off the bike for service , 50430 Kms on the ODO . They say the engine has to be de-carbonized . Also getting the clutch bell reset and the spark plug and cap checked as the bike still had problems when it was washed or it got wet in the rains . Total damages to the wallet 5200 INR ...

EDIT : Checked the bike , most of the earlier annoying clutch bell sound disappeared but now a new more concentrated rattle from the crank . Need to open up the engine , they say they've got to offset the crank . Anybody throw some light on what exactly that means ?

I don t know if this helps you but i've been using the r15v2 front tyre on my v1 since the past few months and it has been running great, handling feels better than it was with the v1
