is it normal for all r15s
Surprising , I am now at 50416km on the ODO and no issues with the clutch cable as such .

On other news , just got the bike back after 20 days at the service center for a clutch reset and a bore change as they figured out that the RC BB had too much clearance . Now back on the stock bore . Bike feels a lot tighter now , not as free revving as it was on the RC Big Bore .

Attaching pics of the RC Bore and Piston and ofcourse my pocket dent for the work .

How much did your bike run on the big bore? Did they tell you what was clearance value? Did they do a compression test? Will be very interested in knowing these figures if available.

The bike has done about 32000 km on the Big Bore . I wasn't smart enough to ask them if they did a compression test . But what he showed me with the bore was that when he placed the piston on top , it just fell straight through . whereas on the stock bore it held it's place and had to be pushed through the bore . He said that it was a sign that the bore has gone bust . I hope I am depicting it correctly .

Guys , had a new issue crop up just now , was riding the bike sedately at around 40kmph . Came across a trucker I wanted to overtake ... shifted down and accelerated only for the bike to choke for a second and the engine and the overhearing light flashed on the display and disapeared . Didn't occur after that ...

                Biker's SOS...
Since July 2011, I have R15 with Race Concepts Big bore kit, Free flow exhaust, ported head, camshaft and other goodies(stock ECU)... With this setup I have done 26K kms... The problem is coolant leaking into crankshaft and is getting mixed with engine oil. For last 10 days, we have thoroughly checked radiator and reservoir for any leaks and we didn't find any... Also, changed the head gasket twice(thinking it was leaking)... This time, we used rubber based sealant to ensure proper seating... But after all the hard work(full engine overhaul two times in last 10 days), coolant is getting mixed with engine oil.... Now head gasket leaking is ruled out... What could be the issue...

I have 6000 Kms ride(Hyd-Leh-Hyd) starting Aug 9th... I want to fix this issue for my dream ride... Plz help...

^^^ couple things you need to check; 1) is there any sign of sweepage from the bottom gasket? 2) If yes, then check the cylinder casing for a hairline crack.

Last time I had inspected cylinder block and it seemed fine. I all inspect head and cylinder block again. As of now replacing the water pump and checking that.

^^Most probably the water pump gasket/O Rings these can get damaged or debris can get stuck whilst the pump is open.
Beware of Bread, don't say I didn't warn you!
More than 98 percent of convicted criminals are bread eaters !
Statistics show that more than 75 % of violent crimes are committed within 24 hours of eating bread !
Bread is known to be extremely addictive. Subjects deprived of bread and given only water, actually begged for bread after just two days !
Bread has been proven to kill. Scientists have now uncovered alarming evidence that 100% of the people who eat bread will eventually die !

Hope this is the issue. Peculiar stuff is that it takes 100-150 kms of testing to know whether actually coolant is eaten up and getting mixed with oil. On last two occasions tested for 20 kms and it was all well. Tested for 160 kms and all dreams came crashing down

Yes, as Stefanm suggested it could be the water pump gasket or O rings. The fact that it is taking so long for you find the leakage is because the leak is very, very small and is probably only coming into play once the engine heats up. A hairline crack will not leak while the metal is cold. It only starts opening up once the metal heats up and the metal starts to distort at the crack line. The same could also be true in some cases with the water pump gasket and O rings. While the metal is cold the gasket/ O ring seating could be adequate. However, once the engine heats up the gasket/ O ring could distort, thereby, leaking coolant.

Well that's the action plan. Change water pump. If that doesn't help, switch to stock bore and head.

So the lead changing the waterpump didn't help. Soon after 60 kms of testing, we found the froth after opening the water pump.

So the two probable issues- Busted Gasket and Faulty Waterpump(O rings, Gaskets, oil seal, impeller) didn't help.

Immediate plan of action. 1) Take the head to CNC machine for flat bed setting and test.
                                2) Switch to stock cylinder. This will be for cracked coolant cylinder jacket. And test.
                                3) Change the head and test.

                                Any pointers guys.
