    please please help me out...
The pickp going down, bad engine sounds and mileage issues points to worn out clutch plates and valve clearance adjustments.
    Apart from that-

    1. replace engine oil
    2. check for chain slackness and sprocket wear
    3. cable condition or lubrication
    4. tire wear and alignment

      I would say,

Replace spark plug, Clean the injectors, flush the engine oil , flush the coolant from the radiator and get new coolant in.
Do a head decarbonization, and probably check the condition of the clutch plates and all. And while at it, if possible check the condition of the bore/cylinder too.

        Hello all

I am facing a engine overheating problem in my R15.. When I ride the bike for 2kms or so the red overheating light is starting to glow
.. Also the cooling fan is not working in the bike when I left the bike in Sprint Yamaha the mechanics there were not able to solve the problem.

Please help me in sorting out this problem also suggest me a better YASS cente in Bangalore

As you yourself said, the fan is not working.. So how could you expect it to cool the temperature down.. If they are not able to rectify the problem, better replace the fan.. Why damage the engine ..
also check the coolant level in the radiator.. If its low, then this might also cause engine heating..The engine should not heat so much in such short rides.. While at it, change the engine oil..

          Ride safe and have fun.

Hello guys, i'm facing a flatspot in my throttle response at around 1.5k. The throttle response seems to be sluggish at around 1.5k and gives a jerk. But there's no problems whatsoever around all rev ranges till redline. What could be the probable cause and what all should I check for the flatspot problem. Bike's all stock 2011 v1 with just around 12000 on the odo. Have been using semi synthetic motul 15w50 oil and there are absolutely no other problems in the bike. Can easily touch 120+ on flat roads and fe is around 35-42.
            Cheers!!

This is normal for all R15 (at least I can confirm for V1s).

Thanks for the reply mate. Last week I drove a friend's V2 and didn't find any flatspot as in my bike. So I thought maybe my bike has a problem.

V2 has different sprocketing and gear ratios hence different power delivery in the lower RPM band. It has its own flat spot too, try it around 5K RPM.
Btw, it doesn't have the thrust that V1 has at 7K RPM.
This doesn't mean either one has a problem, just that they are made to behave slightly different.

Yes mate maybe I've learnt to live with that. But its just that it gets too irritating sometimes..

I won't be going for Tata but exide only. 5amp costs Rs 1422, but battery man was against putting 5 amp battery in R15. He said think again and let him know. Because he said "I know R15 don't use this battery and if anything happens to your bike electric circuit or Battery then we are not responsible and we won't give the warranty also" ....This is shocking now !! Very tensed.

R15 suitable battery is for Rs 1100 exide. So I am thinking whether to go for it or not ??
I have been using 5Ah battery on my bike since god knows when. Go for it, won't damage anything. Almost all the R15s I come across are running on 5Ah anyways.

                      • R15 stalling problem

                        Greetings guys!

I'm not having a good weekend because I'm worried about my bike, its not doing well

The problem started 2 days back, engine check light started glowing when i was heading home from work and after sometime the trip meter and the speedometer stopped working, everything went to 0. I took it to SVC and the guy told me that the sensor had to be replaced. I thought i'd replace it at the end of the month for obvious reasons.

And now I have one more problem on my plate, my bike stalls! I was doing 60 and it stalled for no apparent reason. I parked and tried cranking it up and it dint budge. After sometime it roared back to life and I was on my way when it stalled again, it was barely 2 kms from the previous stalling point. radiator is off, no over heating whatsoever, fuel pump working fine (buzzing sound audible)

now i have noticed something and i dont really know what it is

please take a look at the picture that ive posted, there is a white fluid being discharged from something i dont know what?!!!!
I have never had any problem for 3 years whatsoever, and bike was recently serviced.

                        what could the problem be?

                        Thanks in advance

My Bike is aging.. Left front fork oil leak, Bike alignment is out.
Changed buss and it's component but still it's the same.
checked the rims alloys, they are in goodshape.
Again going to SVC for getting it sorted.
This time will change the coneset as well.

Done 33k kms on the odo, lost complete faith in the svc's and so caught hold of a mechanic through contacts in YRC. Spent 10k for which i got new tyres, new consets, filters, pads and removed the fork bend. Believe it or not its as good as new now, in fact better

i want to upgrade my R15's stock battery to 9 Amp (not 5 Amp).
so it will be helpful if the members using this battery will provide detail, like what modification is need to be done to the battery box
and from which side the battery box need to be cut to accommodate this battery. it will be really helpful if you can post the pics.

                              thanks in advance
