I think the 200 and 220 share the same rims except the color. The 200 rims black, Why not go for that one?

because P200 does not have disk brakes in the rear wheel...

      • Your mounting points and all that ll be different , its not just a plug and play.
Plus the weight of the pulsar alloys are different , The rear alloy of pulsar is wide(2.5) and heavy , r15 rear alloys are small(2.15).
There are a lot more stuffs involved :-)

            So whats the point?

I dont think it will go well with the bike.. i am not talking about the looks.. even the R15 rim weighs less compared to the Pulsar rims..

I have seen even P220 rims getting cracked.. Does that make P220 stronger than R15 rims.. guys relax.. out of so many of us only few are getting the problems.. I dont see any advantages fitting the p220/200 rims..

And about the warranty.. they provide only for like tyres, spark plugs... buggers

but R15 rims are getting cracked very easily & quickly compared to others.

Oh BOTH rims? I thought the front...and anyways as members here said...the disk brake mounts will be different. So I suggest against it.

But i can tell Yamaha have not maintained the quality to the standards in many aspects

                          • best quality alloys in India are of Zma but they are 18 inch ....

                            • Talk 2 me about it , iv taken it where not , any offroading and it survived.

Be careful on bad roads + ride sensibly , thats all i can say .

Potholes are a feature on indian roads . ride at decent speed where u could avoid it , rather than going at 100 and say alloy bent :-(

^U want me 2 show u zma alloys bent ?

not that they are gr8 . ur alloys are meant for a different purpose ,
testing is done bfore an ok is given ,
the way we ride or push , it not meant to take the beating ..
whats the weight and zma alloys my friend ?

I know few guys with R1 with bent alloys ...
U ll write to Yamaha Japan about it ???

Warranty is as a whole. Check the manual for all the parts mentioned. Changing tyres itself will void the warranty, after market rims is a sure shot no warranty claim!

@Velocity: I don't feel its worth changing the rims, coz its surely gonna make a difference in the weight, disc mounting&if you put in the Pulsar rims, you'd need to put the tyres as well. They may fit somehow (once you work out the disc mounting points that is), but IMO it'll lead to severe stability issues, loss of mileage, top end&weakening of swingarm&chassis in the long run. Warranty will be the first thing you'll have to write off. Think of it, replacing R15 rims when they crack is a smaller cost compared to all that!
