Why don't you try Pacer before heading to Bangalore Wheels. They screwed up my YBX just last week and now it is up and running and running very well thanks to a decent mechanic, albeit an unauthorised one at Shivanagar, near Basaveshwarnagar.The Service supervisor at Bangalore wheels(withholding his name here) claimed that a YBX couldn't be rebored. He asked me to buy a new cylinder kit when everything was alrite. He also said that valve clearances and the cam chain couldn't be adjusted as everything was automatic. And Yyou guys want such people to handle your steeds. Go ahead. All the best.

I hear equally bad reviews about pacer .. perfect riders is the only one spared any kind of abuse so far .. anyway some of the folks had a decent experience at bw so I'll either go there or perfect riders .. any idea where on Rajkumar road it is .. I mean on the yeswantpur side or the opposite (should I take a right at navrang or left) .. bloody google maps gives weirdo locations nowadays.

Its opposite to Yeshwantpur, u need to take the Rajkumar road (left from Navrang) and travel bout 3kms..its on to ur right. Landmarks are TVS showroom on your left and Bajaj on your right. Its 500mts from Bajaj

Guys, does any one have R15 front brake pad set? or can anyone get a used set and post the pics plus outline in actual size... If in Hyd, I can collect them from you.

Please PM me or call me if you have or manage to get a set. I guess some people have changed their front brake pads.

Hi guys ....I got Alice(...thats what i call her...) on the 7 of Jan.....looks smoking hot...n feels awesome.....whatever doubts i had about R15 have vanished.....although its hard but i will be a good boii n treat it like a lady.....no ripping n wild riding....Orion ppl suck bigtime.....they look disinterested even before delivering the bike.....
The petrol strike totally caught me unawares.....i had planned to take Alice to banglore-mysore highway....beyonf arakere.....its a nice stretch....but .... i could not....waiting for strike to get over.....wana ride her soon....just driven her for like 30 kms...want more......i like how she growls....man i m completely n absolutely in love with YZF R15.Fellow banglore riders....i m planning to get a number plate sticker on my front mud guard....is it a problem in banglore....i mean how many of you have done it.....n are cops a problem?

hey all ya proud owners of R15...ive got an amazing news for all of you...few days back i had tremendous problem related the bike...i spoke to the head of the hq office in pune...he very well solved my problems at the pro shpwroom in wakrewadi...i also asked him regarding the paint chipping off from the alloy wheels and also the bent...and he was like we can get them replaced under warranty....so if any of you guys have paint chipping off your alloy wheels...or slightly bent because of some stupid pot holes...you can get them replaced....

if you had gone through the pages you wld have found me abusing Orion guys the most along with others, i still dnt understand why guys go there to buy a bike! anyways congrats for the purchase and have a happy and trouble free riding! and yes maintain the RPM limits during the run in period.

Umm... Someone asked why I am a senior member.... I dunno! Post the server crash, I had to re-make my ID. And after I did that 'senior member' was displayed by itself! Maybe because I have mentioned my age! Plus I am a member since 2006!

My radiator fan came on yesterday (the second time since I bought the bike), after I did 15.6kms and stopped at a traffic jam. It operates even when the engine is'nt running. Gave me quite a start! The handlebars give a slight buzz when it works.....

Am gonna service the bike on Monday. Hopefully it should run better now and I expect FE to go up..... Kolkata guys, where do you service it from? And if anybody has done it from Leaders (opp. South City Mall) what is the feedback?

R15 main stand, lube and other accessories

Hey guys, I just paid a visit to the Pro Service centre at Wakdewadi, Pune and here are the updates:

R15 Main Stand
Mr. Nitin, the service head, confirmed that the permanent center stand for the R15 had been launched. It was very similar to the temporary one, in terms of design and came with a shaft, spring and damper which together came up to 800Rs. However, the production of these stands has been put on hold indefinitely because the stand is not very sturdy and if someone fiddles around with the bike, it will fall off the stand. Also when it comes to clearance, I revoke my previous statement because Mr. Nitin confirmed that the stand further reduces the clearance of the bike (So Digislayer and driftking, yeah my bad ).

Yamalube and Cleaner
Here is a picture of the Yamalube chain lubricant. The can is 500ml and costs around 1800rs.

The Pro service guys use the "Motul Chain Cleaner- Road Type". They had run out of the cans so could not get a picture. A 400ml can will cost you around 400Rs and it looks very similar to the 400ml Motul Chain Lube can.

LED position Lights-
These were not available but were expected to come in by next week or so. These are priced at around 350Rs a piece.

@Sagar-Thanks for doing all this. SO they use YAMALUBE chain lube and MOTUL Chain Clean. Do they sell the YAMALUBE Chain Lube?

I believe they do. You have to let them know and they can order it for you.

@sagar- I asked the Aurangabad's showroom and showed them the photo also. They were not knowing about this. The said that the circular was not passed to them about this lube. After hearing the price from me they said that the will not order if even if the circular is passed to them. I will have to buy it from Pune itself.

Regarding the main stand for R15..

I've ordered one for me here in Mumbai. It's not the permanent one but the temp one - the same one which they use in SS. I need only for maintenance, that's y.

It cost me approximately Rs. 200/- I m saying approximately because I m yet to pay them for it and the showroom guy wasn't sure bout the price, whether it's Rs 200 or Rs. 250/-.

The only prob is they r taking very long for the stand. I had ordered it almost a month back and they still havn't got it for me. I've been asking them regularly but the only answer I was getting is a few more days.

Last I talked to the person was on 3rd Jan, during my 2nd service and now he has committed to get it by this Wed. I hope it comes true.
