Is it only for the Lube or Degreaser as well? How long does it last?

          • only lube. degreaser not available.

The regular lubes - Motul / OKS / Wurth are good for 500-700 Kms per application and the Yamaha one should last longer. my OKS lube can lasted a good 9000 KMS.

            • R15 - Chain & Sprocket

              Folks,

Take good care of your Bike O ring Chain. The other day when I was at the Service Station, inquired about the cost of the CHAIN & SPROCKET.

My Goodness it costs a BOMB

He told that its not 1 kit thus you need to buy everything seperately.

The total comes to about INR 4000, pufffffffffff

The cost might comprise of mostley the light weight rear sprocket which is not the normal brass or steel alloy that we usually find on other bikes and after market shops.. though the O-ring chain i've come across are near 1300-1500 Rs price range but the rear sporcket might be taking majority part of the 4K price
Being an o-ring,running on the high quality rear sprocket..it'll take time before it actually requires replacement. So we can still rip the R15 through corners and on straights and save money along with it. by the time the chain wears out..I hope we all have 4 Grand at that time

                • how many of you have got your rear wheel adjusted to number 4 on the measuring teeth by the time you clocked 10K kms?

The mechanic who did this job for me was wondering that he didn't even see a 20K run R15 going to number 4.

                        • :Problem after 2nd Service.

Guys need help. The SS guys here have screwdup my baby! After the first service my bike was buttersmooth and awesum,no problems at all. After the second service the engine became very harsh ad there were hell lot of viberations and the gear shifting was so hard and clunky.I went back to the SS guys and changed my engine oil to Castrol Power1.While he was pouring out th 389km old yamalube oil from my bike the viscousity of theoil was all gone it had detoriated like a 4000km old EO(engine Oil). After topping up with Power1 all the vibes are almost gone and the bike is comparatively a lot smoother but still harsh than the !st serviced engine. And the gear box problem remains and has become even more clunky and feel like a enfield bullets gearsift. When i discussed this with the SS manager he said that they cannot open the Gearbox as they are not allowed to do so from the conpany,so he said that he'll fix an appointment with the Yamaha Official engineer(U.P region) i need suggestions,Advice or help from u experienced guys.

PROBLEM NO.2:For the past few weeks my front tyre is loosing pressure from 28 to 19 psi in 1 and half week and i skidding like a Tvs tyres under a little hard breaking(u can't even call it hard breaking.).It was not like this before. And i don't trust these SS guys for this,so i haven't told them this.Any Advice plz...

                          • one more crappy upadte about my bike

Got the rear disk pads changed for 1230/- bugs (inclusive of all charges) at Pacer Motors. that guy cheated me with some 20-30 bugs i guess

The supervisor claims that the front disk plate is completely damaged. I had got the front disk pads changed a month back. The pads are almost worn out again..

He said that he would do something during my fourth servicing like replacing it although it does not come under warranty.

I also have some black spots on the digital display. i see them seldom during early morning and after wash. it goes away one bike runs some 10 kms...

                            • @R15 Rocks- I am using the Yamaha Chain Lube.
I have got the lube from Yamaha's Pune showroom for Rs.1415. It is lube only and I am using the Motul Chain Clean for Cleaning purposes. I have used Motul Chain Lube as well. I have been using the Yamaha lube since a month i guess and till now no dirt at all and the chain is not as noisy as it used to be with Motul.
This lube is a costly as compared to Motul but according to me it is totally worth it. If the budget is a problem then get the Oks which KP is using. I would not recommend you Motul.

@all those who commented on Chain price - R15's chain is made by D.I.D. Now check the cost of D.I.D. chains over the net.
