My bike has rusted at places other than the common places u people are mentioning - tank, silencer, number plates etc. I opened up the bike's front-end to change the headlamps and there was rusting all over the metal joints that holds the front fairing in place. I checked all the places that u guys are seeing rusts and by God's grace do not see any till now(keeps all his fingers crossed
). There is no rust in the underbody too! This inspite of riding in the horrendous rains that recently lashed Chennai and riding in knee-high waters!

Cause in regular garage covers most of the times the rear portion remains exposed as u slide the mirrors in those sleeves. Where as TB cover is ideal cause of the long mirrors of bullet. I got it for Rs.300 here in Mumbai. It's material is also quite good.Ketan Nikharge.

All this means Yamaha is using very low quality parts, which is never acceptable for such a costly bike !!! Guys take it very seriously and complain Yamaha India, they should must replace those rusted parts.
This is also happend with my Comet, but Kinetic do replaced all the parts including the Tank (2 times).Comment

. I enquired with a local Rexine shop guy@Ameerpet&he says he can stitch a custom made cover for me, but it would cost Rs.500 for ordinary variety&600 for special. Felt it was more than double the cost of ordinary covers, so kept the decision pending!

i got an bullet cover from pudupet for 200 bucks.....suits well and good enough quality too......here is the pic
