Then I guess Ive seen the bike while I went there for servicing.. btw.. there is a black damaged R1 at Pearl Yamaha now...

meanwhile i am booking my r15 this dassera but as talks are going on should i wait for two months more so as new upgraded R15 comes with slight engine tune up 18-19ps...Projector lamps and new color schemes,

A strange noise

I am hearing a strange noise coming somewhere from the direction of front-wheel. It sounds like there is something brushing against tire or the brake. When I told this to SS guy, he said, it's normal & the sound will go away. If it does not, he said, he will fix it in 1st servicing. What I've observed now, is the sound comes more frequently if I am driving on wet road. Does anybody know about this problem?
Otherwise, the bike is cool.

@ shadowboy - there no such news from yamaha about the upgrated R15 only the news is of remaped ECU.

dude i was hearing the same sound.. does it come only wen u push the throttle??

took it to the SS, the mechanic said that its the dust in my brake pads rubbing against the disc making that noise. At a closer look, I could actually see the disc scratched with concentric circles over it. So that's it, he cleaned the pads and its fine now.

So if u have driven in do much dusty roads, urs cud be the same problem. But why more on wet roads i fail to understand.

It is normal in new bike my had too it is kind of chick - chick sound which went away after 200-300 kms without doing anything

and Yamaha said their shockers won't brake unlike pulsar200s.

.. during their aggressive push marketing strategy...

I am laughing at the Yamahas... presenting a fluffy bike that gets rust in front and broken alloys...
I've bumped potholes thousand times at good speeds but my bike is a definitely male...

Note: no offense to those riding the r15. they are biking brothers who had given up major chunk of their pocket money for this dream. I respect them.
all aggression towards the manufacturer...> is this POPCORN for what we have paid 1.1lakhs.

Grrr ~1300 kms done still no servicing....
The guys at malad yamaha service centre say that they still dont have the parts for servicing.

(what bloody parts, its just one friggin oil filter!!!)

I am not going to ride till i get my oil changed.

any idea where i can get a oil filter from?
