    • Is every one out there able to achieve 145-150 on their R15?
May be i was not doing the gear shift correctly

One more thing, i am getting a mileage of around 45-50 KMPL constantly from my bike, is it normal for others R15 too; i never heard that much mileage from R15, even i was surprised when i saw those figures - checked many times to confirm. Got 50-52 on the highway once, even i was driving fast 80-100. clocked 3500+ Kms yet.

Ive been able to attain a 138. Although some members may have gone past the 140 mark but I beleive 145-150 is a really tough ask for this machine.

Even I'd like to know how many have gone past 140+

          • I did 144 but my god it took a long time ! hopefully my new exhaust will help reach that more quickly . I have joel's ffe on it ! Getting his big bore kit next month ! I've heard of people going 147-148 but i guess that depends on conditions like road gradient , crosswinds etc .
Stock is boring , power is everything .

Penno this bike can easily pass 140 but there is a way to do it, you need high rpm gear shiifts.

I was having the same problem initially last year, then a Yamaha Pro-Service guy took me for a spin, he would be weighing around 90kgs and I am around 75kgs. I was sitting as pillion and we were completely ducked, it touched 138kmph and he showed it to me while doing it... hence I think its easy now to know that it would touch above 140 mark while riding single. Later on I tried and it touched 142kmph easily.

And there are many factors depending to touch top speed, from tyre pressure to crosswinds as well. you gotta keep all in mind to do it

Thanks for info mate. I'l try the high rpm shifting way , when trying to acheive such speeds I usually shift at 8500-9000 .

You know you have to feel the bike when its getting streched at a perticular gear and you have to shift right at that point when it has attatined the threshold RPM, to achieve that quick acceleartion and the top speed,u just cant over rev for getting the top speed.

if you want to figure it out what i am saying, chk any onboard video of a MotoGp rider,u dont have to watch the Tacho, just pay attention to the sweet sound of those bikes and the point they shift,u will get it and try it out in your bike, will certainly help....

                            • ^^ it doesn't have a lot to offer at low RPMs.
but there's a lot once you rev it up.

guess you'll have to wait to finish ur run-in.

                              • 145 kmph achieved on my R15. Yeah, it does take a while after 138 if you aren't on a decline.
