    Attention All,
    PLz be cautioned wen u giv the bike for service.....
    Yesday i took my bike to a local service centre to change the oil to synthetic. When I saw the condition of oil which came out of my bike on which I had an oil change just before 1K , I's almost broken. Though I'm not an expert to know how bad the oil is, from the experience from my fiero, how an oil should should look which had just run 1K. Moreover the quantity of oil in the engine was no way around 1L.
    How much these service centre ppl can be greedy on money? If the YAMAHA ppl r watching dis, WHAT the **** r u ppl doing? We invested dis much on a bike, n can't u atleast provide the basic service?? *** HOLES

        Hi @all & Ketan..

        I changed to Philips H4 yesterday both the bulbs as well as parking light and the light is just awesome (better than my Alto )
        total cost - Rs. 800 .didint test for long though only 15 mins on a completely dark lit road.
        will update about battery issues if any soon after a week or so of testing.

          As mentioned in my previous thread, the vid has been shot after the khambatki tunnel on my way back from mahabi to pune. About my comment, I am not really the kind of guy who loves to pick arguments with fellow riders. However, there is only so much that you can take.. the top speed argument of the r15 has been going on for quite some time now. So I just decided to end it once and for all and giving a fitting reply to all those who doubted the performance of our YAMAHA YZF R15

              Nice effort there, but one thing in thevdo troublin me is, i never see the bike struggle after 135 on speedo .
              that surprising me , cos as per the video , the drag is not slowing u down at all , the rate at which the speed is building after 130 is hmmmm kinda surprising.

                  Im not doubtin his efforts at alll ,
                  Just that he got lucky at the right time ,

                  With headwind and full tank of fuel Iv managed to do 140 when i was touring.i.e had my luggage tied behind.
                  cos generally after 135 + u can see the kms go like minutes on a clock.. slowwwwwww increase

                      Well I guess I am a really lucky person cause i have recorded the same speed on the same patch of road about 4 times now on as many trips. I understand where you are coming from though. My tank was about 1/2 full on every trip. I did not have any tail wind assist.. just the gradual decline of the road helped maintain the momentum. In fact, I have always experienced strong crosswinds on every single trip which makes the bike wobble quite a bit ( as is apparent in the vid.) However, the r15 fairing provides spectacular aerodynamics when it comes to linear wind bust.

                        Along with tappet clearnace, because of the dirty oil, the valve is getting sufficient lubrication(or it's blocked)...

                          but could you test it with a gps/ speed gun too.
                          i have touched 138 on the speedo many times while touring with luggage on gps it showed 129 as max speed. Im not doubtin his efforts at alll (Ctrl c . Ctrl v) as even i have this bike and know it can do much better . but can you test the speed with other means gps / speed gun .

                                man .. you must be a small light guy .. the drag I produce sleeping on the tank makes the bike struggle to reach 135 (speedo).
