Mithun are you using philips for both sides coz I am facing serious issues with the battery on every long ride even though I am not using those 2 parking lights that came with it.

            • guys, I guess I got an answer to the "rear disc brake wearing out quickly" problem.

Though the primary reason is resting the foot on the pedal, I realized today that the rear disc pads are Organic ones. Organic pads give a very progressive grip but wear out faster. This is by design and done purposefully.

Organic pads used to cost less in earlier days when they were coming with Asbestos but that is a banned material in the US and few other places... now a days we get Organic pads with Kevlar (material used for bullet-proof stuff) and that coupled with importing Nissin pads is making them cost higher.

BTW, did anyone see what make the front disc pads are?

The R125 comes with Brembo system for front... and the disc is on the left side as against to the right side we have for the R15.

third attempt to elicit the same information as posted earlier,
feeling decidedly ignored by the fraternity, possibly due to the junior member tag at the age of 44?

Hello there sir, and a warm welcome to xBhp, nobody is a junior here It's just that there are very few people who've actually bought and installed HIDs on R15. And, that "very few" will come down to "very very very few" when you specify a region like mumbai-pune. So, other city people like us cannot do anything that can help you out...or there's no selfishness or ignorance around xBhp.

Plus, all of us R15 users are still trying hard for ways to battle the battery issues, which're bound to come up even with a small mod like horn-change. And HIDs is an entirely different level, so many of us still didn't find out a proper way of installing HIDs on the R15 and still not have any battery issues. This info is the best I can give you being a person from Hyderabad. Other than that, you may want to order the HIDs from Got HID Xenon? We have 4300K 6000K 8000K 10000K 12000K 15000K 30000K Kits and replacement bulbs. . Many of the xBhpians have ordered HIDs from there only because of their precise current rating. If it says 35watts, it does consume only 35watts..but a chinese HID is never trustable on the power consumption given on the label.

And by the way, even I'm a "junior member" by the tag as you can see..but no one treats me like that at xBhp. I can always change my tag myself, but I don't need to ..there's no need of tags here..that's xBhp

                        • I have an idea. Just tell me whether it'll work or not.

Lets say I connect the LHS & RHS of the R15's headlights. So both work for low beam and both work in high beam.

But the bulb in high beam is a single filament one right? So what if I put the LHS bulb in the high beam as well? So it should work like twin lights in low beam, twin lights in high beam, with no adjustability issues or light being thrown too high or low right?
                          You get the point?? :D

have logged on and registered with the Your Account Has Been Created! : Got HID Xenon? We have 4300K 6000K 8000K 10000K 12000K 15000K 30000K Kits and replacement bulbs. website but there is a mind boggling choice of bulbs, ballast etc.
has anyone recieved these bulbs by post and how long does it taks?
saudjawed had a picasa album on the r15 mods he had done both when his bike was brand new and after the bike india track crash,he had initially wired both headlamps to be on whether on high or lo beam.
subsequently put twin hids which a friend of his got from SE asia, all this was before the xbhp site went down so dunno if its still in the archives,
                              hope this helps.

Coolant was leaking from the bolts where we clamp the Horn on to the radiator. So got it changed under warranty.
