Im not going in for synthetic oil in the near future for the bike.
Am now running the Motul semi-synth. Shifted to it at 3K kms. As u said, there is not much of a difference in gear-shifts or engine smoothness, but I feel that the heating up has gone down by a slight bit, expecially during city riding. Does not make much of a difference on the highways though. Since I ride to and from office in city, I do feel so especially on the hotter days at Chennai.

Those guards are called Crash Bobbins. Those are not available for R15.

              • Clunky gearshift remedy

If any of you got a clunky gearshift then you need to adjust the tension on the clutch lever. I was having a really hard shift to 1 with it getting stuck in neutral. Adjusted the tension and it's smooth again.

Hey dude.. sorry to hear that !! at what speed were you riding ?? how did the rear tyre slip buddy ? was it due to hard brakin or gravel on the road tht caused the skid ?

how are you hurt ? well... I hope you are safe coz i think fairing took the bruises to save you from that

there was a little bit of loose sand on the road... there's an alignment issue with the rear wheel which i'ven't sorted out yet (didn't get the time)... that also added to the slip i think...

No scratches or bruises... just a little muscle pain, which is to be expected...

                            • R15 on Padlok Stand

                              @ All
Managed to get the 1st accessory for my bike, yes it’s a padlock stand.
Though its expensive!!! I wanted it badly to service the unguarded chain & change Engine oil at my wish.
Its very easy to use, I do not need 2 ppl here (like in case of SBK), can remove & put it back all by myself.
Luckily the stand is not rusted as someone mentioned in the forum earlier.
Yeah, its cost 1500/-, picked it from PACER YAMAHA, BAGALORE.
I am looking for LED pilot lamps, please let me know if you come across the same in Bagalore.
                              Here are some pics!
