You can get aftermarket ones for Rs180 or so, from bike accessory shops. The paint will flake off the same as the genuine part, so no difference in quality there.

Planning for battery upgrade and fitting HID Projector lights !! Is Battery upgradation possible?? Any mechanic in mumbai who does this ?

I think Amaron has a 5 Amp battery which is direct fit, I have heard people ordering the charger from thailand of R125 and fitting it as the stock one is weak to charge a big battery and you have to give it for charging atleast in every 9-10 mths , unless you are ready to change the entire wiring which is a headache. Also look for 35 W/40 W HID 4300 k with projectors, i think H7 bulb or H3 bulb will be the best fit here.

you can but why you need to do that as you will be paying almost the same cost for a ready after market cpu minus the hazzles. Ping @joel for the same.
How many kms completed ? Also as suggested check for punctures, tyre pressure, Front and rear wheel bearing, chain lubed properly or not, Fork setting and front shock oil level and leakages.

I run a pair of 35w Bixenon HID's without projectors (from Navnish), they are pretty sweet, however they will discharge your battery if you run both together at low rpms, to combat this I added a switch for the right side light so I can use it either on it's own or with the left bulb, I generally use one light only for so called 'city' riding and both for dark roads. I had recently fitted a 5amp Amaron, if I recall around 6 weeks back, so far no issues, but will have to keep an eye on it in case in needs charging, although I tend not to ride much at night.

Has anyone tried replacing the front side panels of v1.0 with v2.0? Is this mod possible?

Searched alot but din't find any aftermarket mirror for R15, infact vendors where telling me to get it from Showroom only...lol..what crap if i had to take it from showroom then why will i ask him..Jerk!!
Spoke to the Yamaha SVC they said that it's all about sensor, so if you increase it from 3.5amp to 5amp then it will kaput all your sensors!! And he said projector lights can go with stock 3.5 amp battery too..Now i am thinking how come it's possible?? won't F@@k the battery to it's best!!...ROFL..
Any draining issues when you on both?? And why RPMS?? these are DC connections right from Battery?? so what RPM will do??, Are you talking of charging it ?? will high rpms??
Spoke to SVC they are ready to put the Projectors in my R15, total cost would be 8k with fitting. Spoke to Aftermarket accesories wala too, He said Bi Xenon Projector headlight with angel lights would come for 6.8k and no warranty or garauntee. He said even more than 30k Projector lights don't come with warranty or gaurantee !!! But they last good amount of time.
There was a guy who had installed Datona kits when it was launched, don't remember it's name and couldn't find the thread too. But he had reviewd it better but more less mileage then existing, power and top speed was boosted good. He had mentioned some thing 145kmph+ if i am not mistaking.

speak to him he is one who was selling Datona kit last year in June, he might help you with reviews on it. Even his signaute here has the same details!

The charging rate is better above 4k rpm, i think the peak output comes at 5k rpm, I am also using the Race dynamics ecu, which consumes slightly more current than the stock one, using both headlights will drain the battery in the long term, I prefer to be a little cautious with using both lights and most of the time a single light is good enough for 'city' low speed riding. I have been using the hid's for 18 months now with no issue.

How much did Amaron battery costed you ?? and did you make any changes to to fit it or any electrical changes??

Finally bought a blue 2009 R15 for Rs.65000. The bike has done 16000kms. The bike was serviced 1500kms earlier but I am planning to give the bike to svc for service and overall checkup for my peace of mind. What are the things which should be checked and done? When I take the accelerator after changing gear the bike responds with a jerk. What could be the problem? And which is the best service center in South Delhi ? Thanks.

Good Morning someone broke by bike's front right signal light. Changed it for Rs 140 with Labour charge of Rs 10.

I was just thinking how come Rear view mirror is more costly then signal light?? rear view mirror was Rs 250.

my bike now dies on crossing even the slightest of bumps! if the road is flat there is no problem at all...but if there is a bump it just dies all of a sudden.
i'm hoping its not a problem with the fuel pump because there is no feeling of the engine choking at all...it just dies like the kill switch was operated.
has anybody faced this issue before?
