Mine is Minda brother, well the longest time I have parked my bikes i for around 15 days as I went home, it started in second try thats all.

The sound does not annoys me, was just a bit confused because I think that the stand hits the link..I dont think that if it hits the link then there is any problem because the link can bear the hitting..?? also as time passes the spring will loosen and it would help...

Well the rubber is small but the stand hits it, I may have to modify it a bit to increase its length...Does any other rubber will help me in this case??

Honestly, you don't need to tell the mechanics what to do. They have been trained, formally or informally. Some take it offensively if you you tell them what to do.

Its possible that the drain bolt is either loose, or misaligned (negligible chances). Just try tightening it yourself man.
The SVCs should have the stock of the drain bolt, in case its damaged on your bike. You might also want to replace the o-ring on the drain bolt, as that might be damaged / having a small hole visible/ invisible to the naked eye.

I think I need to start an R165 Thread then eh? Not many members will be left here very soon..

I said I told the mechs coz i dont get my bike serviced at a Yamaha SVC, I get it done outside. The drain bolt was found to be broken! No stock available anywhere..

If anyone can find me a drain-bolt in their respective cities and send it to me, eternal thanks!

            • What is the best way to deal with heavy crosswinds. Recently did a trip from pune to shirdi and back this weekend and i swear the cross winds threw the bike out of the road many times, so wanted to know how you deal with the same.

it will void warranty, put pressure on the battery. stock lights look best. rest is your choice.

Best is to crouch under the windscreen under such crosswinds and yes, be prepared to counter steer. Reducing speed a bit also helps!

I had my tank bag mounted so crouching is difficult and counter steering cant be done always as you never know at what sped the other vehicle is coming behind you.

Let me google that for you

From my experience, you can't do much to counter cross-winds on a fully faired bike.. More so in the case of R15 as it is very light compared to other fully-faired bikes where the weight helps counter it to a large extent..

Any specific reason why you get it serviced outside?

Can you please elaborate how counter-steering will help?
For example: You are riding in a straight line & the wind blows in from the left?

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

Alright this is more interesting first crouch and then counter steer... Please explain it, as it will help many of us

Even I have a yellow 15, wanted to install the projectors with HID's, but it DOES affect the warranty, so for now, have installed the HID's, its doing great and when I'm done with the free services will get the projectors, and the best color is white or if you wanna go funky, try green/red/blue
