yup they do have feeler gauges .. although the first time they set the clearance I didn't see the guage parameters, the next day in front of the area office engineer they useda bunch of feeler gauges with the required clearances on them. As per the area office guy there are 2 very highly trained mechanics at panache. these guys cleaned my bike (for the second time in 5 days - complimentary) and just received my vehicle. Am happy with the smoothness etc but don't think it would have happened if the AO engineer didn't come along. I signed a customer satisfaction form too.

As per the engineer, the sample provided by the spreadsheet is quite small and a recent customer satisfaction survey conducted by yamaha had yielded good results. They had received a few rust complaints, one of them being mine, but none from coastal areas which confused them.Nevertheless a marketing Initiative will be issued for my vehicle to see what can be done about the rust etc. Also the spreadsheet will be sent to the HO.

@RED, amit and vikas:- you guys will most likely be contacted. If not you can take the engineer's number from me via PM.

If possible ppl should advertise this spreadsheet and put it on other communities or forums to allow a larger number of 1 5 owners put up their issues.

also to kill any speculations :- there is no upcoming perf pack and no specs for the 2K9 model has been fixed.

anyway forgot to mention that there had to be some niggle so I received my bike without one screw on the fairing. next to the radiator. . Minor stuff but there has to be something right. After all my bike came back from a YASS .

The other saga today was finding a "pulsar push type LED". I went to 6 shops. 4 of them didn't know what I was talking about, one of them didn't have stock and the other had only blue and disco. So back without one. man, didn't know it'll be so difficult sourcing one. So my second silverstar is catching dust.

ppl who have bought one, it'll be nice if you give me the shop name so i can go directly. I don't know too many shops on JC road so the name will help.

Default Yamaha LED Position lights

I have got my Yamaha LED Position lights fixed. They are looking amazing. Compared them to a disco light too. It really felt as though it was 3 times brighter. Will upload pics soon.

@R15Rocks- Post some pics.

@Sagar-Thanks.

Today I got my bike's third servicing done. I also changes the Headlight cowl and Side Panel which were damaged 2 months back in a crash. One thing that I noticed today was that the mechanic first sprayed the MOTUL chain lube and after that he applied some other oil(Engine oil i guess). It is really required to apply other oil?

PS-I am planning to install NGK Iridium Spark plug. Will CR8EIX be OK? Does this cause any battery drainage problem?

No, they don't need to. either one is enuff - as per the R6 2007 & R1 2007 Service manual.

No issues at all. What you mentioned should be the correct iridium plug. BTW, what plug do u have as stock?
