well yeah.

HEY someone get hold of that fellow, to WHOM did he sell the stock alloys ? if someone has crashed here in hyderabad and needs alloys replacement contact that guy.

good point here though "R15rocks" (dunno your name ) but i think he tried to get closer to the "One" by a much cheaper route (he'll probably put R1 stickers soon enough instead of the R15)

main thing is even modded shit like this costs half of a new bike (read 30k ) good thing the R15 does have a fairing ... bah those cheapass alloys cost around 8k and the tyres cost like 1.5k, 2k etc etc and well are nothing but heavy.

and the mechs charge high for the labour tooo in which they show their technical brilliance.

^^^i wish i ran into him before he bought the bike..with the money he threw at it he could have bought a mint comet or atleast waited for a couple of months for the 250cc's....
still whatever gets his juices flowing...hope he is actually happy with the performance and the looks...and he better not go around bad mouthing yamaha for poor performance becoz there is no way in hell the SS will even fix a puncture on his bike under warranty..

@Xeno: My name is Sarvajit. I feel sad for these kinda guys, who buy bikes only with the intention of posing. I'm thinking about writing an article on them. After market exhausts are mainly for attracting attention outside girls colleges. Dog horns for scaring girls walking on the pavement! Disco light bulbs (only parking lights with the main headlamps turned off) to distinguish their bike from the others in a group of similar modified bikes. Little do they realize they spent all the moolah just to be hated by the same chicks! What hurts me is paying for messing up a decent enough bike. I sadly even met some of them, who 'adviced' me to put the rear tyre in front&put the FZ tyre behind. I didn't say a word (your signature states it all!). This is just the look I gave them&walked off:

I encountered a funny problem yesterday. My horn had died suddenly while traveling.

When i went to the yamaha owned SS in malad, we figured out that it was a battery problem. Which is very odd because my bike is completely stock and i ride approx 5 km everyday and 70 km 2-3 times a week.

also i told the ss guys to check my coolant spilling problem (turns out they didnt fit the cap back on properly after the last servicing)

and also to check the breakpads to which i got a reply that there is still some rubber on the break pads so n need to worry. When the rubber wears off and metal starts touching the disk we will replace the pads.

Are you sure its a battery problem? Coz I thought that we have a 'No-Maintenance' battery! Did you ask the mechanic to check the horn tuning? Coz once my bike's horn was really weak after a water wash. I assumed it was a battery problem too, but then the SS Manager told me there's no need to even check the battery charge. The horn was tuned by a mechanic in about 2min.thereafter.
You don't even need to check the pads wear. When they are, you'll clearly make out by the sound of metal scraping the disc while running, that its time to replace the pad. Don't delay it too much after you hear that sound though, you may end up with scratches on your disc!

What the hell. Modded bike looks worse than a circus clown....
This guy paid money to people to mess his bike up!! Jeez!!
That looks like a Unicorn monoshock to me....

Now after reading all these problems, I am feeling twitchy..... When's my share of issues coming?

And I am already losing hope on both service centres in Kolkata, where the bike will actually be 'serviced' and not just washed, sparkled and 'tuned for mileage'...... But surprisingly, I have not noticed any harshness or roughness. I have done 570kms and not yet serviced (1st service is at 1000kms or 18th Jan, whichever comes earlier).

Have never redlined. But have hit 130kmph with a pillion just once, when the bike was 350kms old.... And bike was not yet at redline! Note, both rider and pillion were featherweights!

Seriously considering HIDs....

Do you think one who wants performance will modify a bike like this

No question of the bike moving fast-esp.with those tyres.
He can kiss all mileage&engine smoothness Goodbye with those aftermarket double exhausts.
Battery will drain out powering those LEDs.
I wonder how often he'll have to replace his rear disc plates, considering they're already scraping!
IMO, its just a matter of time before his swingarm&suspension mod affect his chassis&the bike falls apart really soon!
Whats sad is, a brand new R15 is gonna die a dog's death in a few months...

The R15 Horn Is One Of The Weakest Found Now, The CD Dulexe Horn Is Better Than R15 & Not Talking About Existed Bikes
