Its really hard to believe that R15 can really give above 50. Good enough for you.

Not trying to claim any crazy figures here but my bike's run 107.0km exact in reserve till the tank went completely dry of fuel! I got a best of 56.31 with 1.9L in the bike.

City commute + long rides and a lot of ripping has given me an average of 40.2kmpl for exactly 20L of fuel used and 804.8kms of running since bought the bike. This is also when the bike ran out of fuel. And the last 107.0 was mainly done in the night with almost no traffic and part day. 40% day and 60% night on an average. And the at the end of it i got 56kmpl. Not sure if its accurate or not as i find the fuel indicator on the R15 very inaccurate but i'm hoping the trip meters are accurate.

Whatever the case maybe i am one happy R15 Owner! and the bike is fun to cruise around at low speeds!

as far as brakes go, except the 10R, no litre bikes have petals & i presume we don't have to stress how they stop

DO you want the DSG one or would a look-a-like that comes at about a quarter of the price will do? Quality is good!

DSG, order online. Others, visit RamKoti... costs Rs 100.

Yamaha tank pad is for Rs. 700/- available at Venkatesha Motors. At DSG you get it for Rs. 900 which you have to order online. Better don't opt for the local ones. Hope this helps!

I second that..the local ones turn yellowish pretty soon and look very dirty when that happens. So, prefer the originals if you can afford

@all: Guys.. what are we gonna do about the FIDs ?? :|

My R15 sports a local tank pad that costs 100/-, For me it looks better on R15 than what Yamaha provides.

And its on my bike for more than 5 months...it dint show single sign of loosing its color. looks as brand new. MAy be it depends on what kind of substance you use it to wash your bikes and may be also loose color if its under sun for more time.

And coming to Emission levels....I am yet to get Pollution check for my R15...Will post them soon.

And comign to Mileage part...

It always betweern 45-48kmpl for me...

Full ripping (speeds at 120kmph)....i get around 42kmpl....lowest i got was 38kmpl....that too in first week of the purchase...later on never came below 40kmpl...

I shift gears at 4K on tacho and rarely cross 70 in city....

@KP...

Do you feel more heat near the tank after the Radiator change??? I feel this on bike.
