I would say do it gradually. Don't rev each gear upto 7K RPM though. Though I stuck to <4K RPM for the 1st 1000kms., I used to take her to 7K RPM (100kmph) every day after that, upto 2K km. After that hell broke loose! ![]() Gear shift always takes place at 3.5-4K RPM in city, 5-6K RPM on highways, though I do ride her roughly once in a while to check for unusual noises. Tappets will eventually become loose(mine became at around 5K)&manual recommends adjusting valve clearance at 6K kms. service.

![]() Waiting to see the the condition of the Yamalube semi-synth oil on the 5th service in a couple of weeks time. Don't ask me why I didn't check it on my own-you know I don't wanna damage that oil cap accessory for Rs.700 which got damaged by them once&I was given a free replacement. It can be opened only with a ring paana which I don't have. Will wait for them to remove it&if they damage it, its once again their headache!
