Guys, when i ride for the first time in a day, the gears tend to be initially hard. After riding around for 10-15 mins the gears works normally i.e. the gears tend to shift swiftly not being hard .

What i needed to ask was all of you guys face this????

thanks

Happens with my bike too. I think this is because initially the engine is cold, but after some riding it gets the optimal temperature and works smoothly. In manual it is recommended not push the bike too hard when the engine is cold.

@under the seat sound problem
Never heard of such problem though once in my P200 I had a similar problem.
When checked I found out that a small uncut plastic thing was touching the rear tyre, cut and removed it and then tightened each and every bolt in my bike and the problem vanished. That could happen due to any loose internal.

@the person who asked the tyre query..
IMHO..stock are the best tyres for R15..
Still if u cant find them then either go for
1. Scorpian Pirelli 120/80
Or
2. Michellin Pilot sports

First one is worth under 2k bucks and second one sets back you by some 3.5k bucks but both are great when it comes to performance,handling and grip plus they last pretty long.

Before starting the bike for first time press and release the clutch atleast 10-15 times.
After starting the bike in morning let it Idle for some 15-20 sec's or rev it a bit below 3.5k rpm.
Do this then tell if there's any improvment.

Thanks Shanz, i was just looking 110 or 120 profile tyres. And most probably i will go for Pirelli 120/80. When i get stock tryes, may be in a month or so then again i have to replace the Pirelli with stock!!!

BTW IRC has a stock size tire (100/80 17inch), soft compound too.

Go for that I'd say...

aha.. a lil' correction.. Michelin Pilot Sport tyres are available for the bigger machines only. The version we need is the Michelin Pilot Sporty..which are meant for small scooters and motorcycles below 125cc, so they're light weighted and has similar qualities as a Pilot Sport has, so in my opinion they're perfect stock replacement, available for around 4600/-, 130/70/R17, feather light weight and True performance oriented ! They come stock in R125 and since they're not manufactured in India, cost more than regular.

BTW now that we've got concrete info about No rear changes for our R15..is anyone still interested in speaking about the KRP thingy of getting the rear tidy without compromising on performance? Well I'm sure interested in getting it done for mine..but 13K's a lotta money..so if there are more ppl we can sure bargain for a great deal with KRP..any comments?

@All: For those of you who were interested in the Racing Bkue that was launched a few months ago, along with other racing colours, & subsequently never reached the showrooms, I saw one being delivered today at Perfect Riders. Maybe its already available at other showrooms too, but since I saw it, I thought I update you all..
The stickering on the fairings is abit different, & there's also the R15 sticker on the headlight cowl.. Plus I'm guessing it will have dual horns, like the other racing colours..

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back;
and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.
