Guys, One of my friend in Bangalore is facing a lot of problems in his RTR 180. Even after repeated visits to the Service Center(Meghdoot TVS) the issues still persist and now he is thinking of selling the bike.

Does anyone has any contact numbers of local service heads/in-charges. I think the issue needs to be escalated to higher authorities so as to sort out it ASAP.The svc authorities are not paying heed to any of the queries put on them.

He has facing vibration problems especially on rear foot pegs which is unbearable,Engine taking hiccups at 3k-5k rpm which has resulted in drop in performance. The front brake is not functioning properly and is tending to lock-up (happened after a minor spill). They are not able to sort it out and are absolutely clueless. Upon instigating, they say all Apaches are like this only!!

Vibrations at the pegs are the thing which one has to learn to live with in the RTR, as post 6500-7000RPm it becomes unbearable for the pillion.(My FI still gives one hell of a time to it's pillions still)

For hiccups probelm tell him to get both the jets cleaned and get the timing checked too.

Get the front brake's hose changed.

Nops,My RTR doesnt have any unbearable vibrations at any rpm on both front and rear footpegs.

On the Hiccup problems i have already informed him about the said solution and asked him to get it done .But i wonder if they have actually opened the carb or not.

Lucky you for not having the vibes even at the high RPM's that too at the rear pegs

For the carb part, one has to stand on the heads of the SC guys to make sure they have done that.

Hey guys, i am planning to buy new bike this month.
Have heard good things about apache rtr 180 bike, so i went for test ride of Apache rtr 180. Sitting posture, exhaust note and braking was good. But i was disappointed by its pick up, it was better by little margin from my Yamaha rx 135, may be bike was not tuned for performance. But that white color was looking awesome.
I asked them can i get my bike on 21st of this month, they told me yes i can, they told me i will get the one which i took for test ride, i told them how can they give me bike which is being used by everyone for test ride.... silly people. Than they told me ok they will let me know by day after tomorrow when can i get new RTR 180.
Than i went to test ride for p220 but that was not on road, so was not able to figure out about its handling capability. Regarding mileage both bikes gives between 40 - 45, that is what show room guys told me, would also like to hear from you guys.

Can you guys tell me which one will be a better option and more fun to ride. What are the pros and cons of both bikes. Price difference between the two will be around 2K, as i will be replacing the stock tyres of apache with nylo zapper FS and S.

I guess both of you are right!

Agree with chicane about the vibes on the front footpegs, on my bike its more of a constant tingling (ok a little more than tingling but not unbearable) on the sole and of course the handle bars but when you're post 100kmph there is so much of wind against you I guess it would damp your feel for the vibes. As for the rear foot rest I can't comment much on that because I have never been a pillion on the Apache except for this once when I was a pillion for about 500m in busy traffic.
