    Most probably the upcoming higher cc variant is a faired bike, so you can go ahead and get the Duke. Not having an ABS is not a huge negative point.

        Not having abs isn't really an issue unless you have issues with panic braking. I.e. jamming the brakes when you panic. Other than that, engine brake + perfect balance of front and back will give you equal or even better braking than just abs braking. The Duke has steel braided brake lines which make the braking just beautiful. The tyres hardly ever lock once you get used to it unless you want it to on purpose

          Hello guys i have a 2010 RTR. It is an AC version and the new ones are DC. I have to change my one way clutch as its gone Bad and i was thinking i should convert my AC voltage to DC voltage can someone suggest me How to do it and what would it cost me. I have seen on RTR thread but that conversion is using parts other than tvs, I would prefer using tvs parts used in the New RTR.
          To dream of the person you would like to be is to waste the person u are.......

            Hello guys.. so i did go ahead with installation of steel braided front brake line on my rtr. I bought the p220 brakeline. the length is fine and the size of the nuts at the ends are also the same but still it cannot be fit in the way its supposed to be done. Due to lesser flexibilty of the steel braided lines when compared the the rubber ones and limited room near the master cylinder of the new rtr 180 i had to fix it in the opposite direction. Meaning, now the brake line protrudes out. Will post a pic once i learn how to :P the braking feedback has improved and the front brake is more sensitive now than before. Loving the feel of it while braking no plans of changing the rear brake line as the feedback with the rubber hose is sufficient for the rear brake.

            With 4600km on the odo, can i go for shell advance ax7 10w40 (semi synthetic) ??

            EDIT: And also the steel braided brake line does not void warranty.

                My nightmare continues as I thought of getting my steed in good condition.
                Went to change the battery, got the Amaron AP BTX9R in 1550INR and got 120 back after exchanging the old one.
                Installed it, and as I pressed the self start, nothing happened. Checked all the fuses, still it didn't start. Came back home with new battery in bike and no electricals working.

                This is what happened when I started to revive my bike, quite motivating isn't it?

                Now I am confused whether to go to the projector shop and get rid of projector or will the SVC guys can do it?
                I need to get my bike serviced too (thorough check up)

                      the pulsar 220 front brake line cost Rs 1109. The ones on the duke are far more expensive and i dont have an idea whether they will fit our rtrs.

                          hello guys......i bought a new Apache rtr 180 abs on 9th of this month.I have done my 1st servicing after 550 Kms of mark but i am not at all happy with the service ppl as only cleaned and changed the engine oil.I told them to change the oil filter but they said that is not in the stock now and suggest me to change later.i got annoyed and changed the oil filter myself later as its important to change the oil and oil filter together in the 1st service.
                          Guys can anyone suggest me a good TVS service center in Kolkata and also do suggest which grade of mineral oil i should use for rtr 180 abs.

                            Yes changing oil filter at the first service is highly advised. TVS recommends 10w30 grade for RTR 180. The TVS engine oil is a semi synthetic one.

                                Hey! Abhishek.. jst a curiosity , As per my experience RTR has the best break among its competitors ,equivalent to fz i feel though, the only bike i have ridden so far with better feedback than RTR is R15 and ninja250r, and one of my friend did the same like u did, and experienced heavy break fading once heated up. jst posting my vision and experience , may not happen in ur case..
