          1. It might be the normal chains, I mean might have got dried up..clean & lubricate it and then check again...
          2. If it is still time chain issue, the sound may not be audible in higher range due to engine noice/ normal vibration.
To know that you need to check it by putting in center stand & try to identify if the sound still persists.
Sirjii.. I'm thousand percent sure that the sound is not coming from the drive chain, as it is always lubed & adjusted after every 500-750 km.. I'm not facing any problem from my bike, the sound make me feel that something might fall out of place ..
Anyways I'l get the time chain adjusted & change it after a few more k km..

            • Apache RTR 180 ABS gear shift lever and rear brake pedal position adjustment...

I own a 2012 model Apache RTR 180 ABS. Had just done 3000kms. I read in the owner's manual that the rear brake pedal lever and gear shift lever position can be adjusted. And i want to adjust them as the current position is not comfortable for me during long rides.Today i asked the service center mechanic and he says it is not possible to adjust them.

I just want to know whether they are adjustable?

              Thank you guys

^^Yeah,it was a good read!"The best protection against wear is probably a product that is a little thicker (such as SAE 10W-30 or 15W-40) and has more antiwear additives than the oils that support the warranty. The best oil for your vehicle depends on your driving habits, the age of your engine and the climate you drive in, but it is not necessarily the type of oil specified in the owner’s manual or stamped on the dipstick."-from the article.Wonder how to check for anti-wear additives?

That is something a physician or some one who has good knowledge on oil & material can explain !!! For us a Ordinary people the learning thing is " The best oil for your vehicle depends on your driving habits, the age of your engine and the climate you drive in, but it is not necessarily the type of oil specified in the owner’s manual "

Here in Western Region of India I don't think a 10w40 or 15w 40 will do any harm to my engine who has been recommended 10w30 by TVS.

They are adjustable, if you want you can do it yourself. Take the spanner (no. 8-10) from tool kit provided with the bike. Take a look at the gear shifter you can see the linkage coming from the front sprocket area (covered). The linkage is fitted to a shaft with a bolt. Open the bolt & adjust the shifter according to your need & fix the bolt back, you are done.
You just need to open a single bolt & adjust the linkage to your desired location, nothing else.

Corrupt TVS Innovative Bhandup, Mumbai. First they charged me 250 rupees for removing error from ABS system under warranty, and asking double amount for lots of works ...

And yesterday they were asking 250 rupees for Break bleeding, in which they did not even changed Break oil & used no Machine for pumping !!!

They were Charging ... 90 rupees for Oil
                        120 Ruppes Labour
                        30 Rupees Consumer
                        & Service Tax....

I Reduce the bill to 185. Still overcharged, it should be charged 100 rupees & 150 rupees oil replaced...

It can be done by some software (which only svc have), which uses serial connection to test & rectify errors..

I heard TVS once had a project of having an android OS incorporated inside their speedometer console.
Imagine the osm possibilities like you can with such a setup:
You can have your own google map inside you speedometer so that you don't need to carry yours or drain your phone batteries.
You can save your vehicle papers as pdf format inside the system memory.
You can save your songs and use bluetooth which will connect to your bluetooth headphone and hear songs while you can preserve the battery of your phone.
You can track your vehicle & disable the engine (with an encrypted password) under theft situation provided they don't remove the battery
Also there can be an app which will show your friends current map position, so that no one is left behind while going in long trips.
You can also save the vehicle performance details as well as user experience in a cloud which the TVS company can verify for their future improvements.

There are still more things that can be added....
TVS would have been the first company in the whole world who must have come with all these under one platform.

But then whats the point...As usual I feel they shelved the project because its already 2~3 years since I heard this project and so far if they havent come means its useless and the TVS think-tank have shelved it.
