Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
Innovative TVS Bhandup & Ashwini TVS Thane, the only two SVC who has capability to handle RTR 180... though they don't even know customer service. the best option would be to let them realize that they are King & keep them involve in conversation...
Only this two SVC can maintain rtr (the experties) .. alas they don't do it properly... Its all depend on there mood !!!
If you will go to SVC contact Manoj & tell him one to one politely in hindi (Tell him like some one said you know more about rtr & all)

shahbaz63, when i bought the bike. sid137 told me about Manoj, but the bad news is he is no longer working with TVS Innovative and this is the reason i am afraid how will they service my bike.
i will be leaving for my bikes first service in an hour, Prey for my bike Xbhpians.

hmm..ok..then i'll try to buy a new lamp than taking the one my friend has as he doesn't have its stock reflector with him...Originally posted by susheelkumar View PostYou need to convert to complete DC before the change. Stocks are 35w...So for 55w stuff the first in your checklist card should be DC conversion, change batteries if old (preferable buy Amaron as it lasts long
), then do the projector installation...Those mechanics will say it will work and all but what actually happens is your battery will dry out in 6 months(tentative) and God knows maybe you will be riding in dark night situation where suddenly your lights go off... So for peace of mind do the DC conversion and then do the rest.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
I have used Tvs oil for all my company services and Castrol power1 every now and then, i tried Shell and Agip once and both made the bike heat up.
my ride is 40k kms new and still packs a punch. so tvs oil ain't bad for the bike. i am an avid tourer and a everyday user of the bike. Don't panic about the oil n stuff at this stage.

i don't think it'll make much difference. why do you wanna do it? Its just one of those things that doesn't make any sense other than the looks.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
My RTR180's first service at TVS Innovative.
Bike before service:
1) Gear shifts were very notchy (sometimes gear use to behave so wierd that i had to literally kick the gear for it to come in 1st from neutral when i use to keep my bike in idle state at traffic signal).
2) bike was very loose, play was too much on clutch, throttle and chain. ETC....
After Service:
Gear Shifts are very smooth, feels like butter in my engine.
Play was very well adjusted, now its fun to ride.
While Servicing, the guy told me to do engine flush and i didnt knew that it was no necessary as it is a new bike. does it creates problem? Luckly i didnt had to pay for it coz a senior mechanic and SVC manager came to know about it.
Those who are new to this just be careful and only do what is necessary.
they were providing me Tru4 and Motul 5100 15W40 or 15W50. so i told them to use Tru4 as it was to early to use Motuls SS.
Got my Bike Serviced in less than 3hrs from the mechanic Jeetu, he was good. i asked him lot of questions regarding bike and he answered. I was very lucky that his mood was good and he serviced my bike properly.
Got my extended warranty for free as well, coz i had complained against Innovative TVS while i was buying my bike. :P
if anybody wants to buy any bikes or scooty from Innovative TVS, contact only Govinda and ask him on the serious note when he will give the bikes delivery. he gives almost accurate date of bikes delivery. Rest all others give false hopes till the time you pay them money after that they dont even bother.Riding should'nt be about electronics, the limit is yours and yours only. - Simon Crafar

Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
Yeah,I had the same issue.Get pulsar's bar end nut, take it with your bar end weights to a local welder, ask him to spot weld the nut inside the handle and then we can thread in bar end weights.I had to rs50/- for the welding,I took a mechanic with me to the welder so that he can understand what I need! My ride is 28k.Going to attempt a DIY for brake fluid replacement and bleeding.Hope I don't mess it up.Originally posted by dead_piper View Postanybody having issues with handle bar-end weights? mine just came off and it isn't screwing back inside. anybody know what to do?"Vibes transmitted from crank shaft to frame, then through the bearings of the head stock and into the stem where it meets the triple clamp and into the clip-ons where it is greeted with great pleasure by my hands"-ratfighter mod rtr

BTW changed my whole front end after the accident. Cost around 4600 rs. Changed the whole headlamp assembly, fairing and front mudguard. The T , connecting the coneset and shocks, required some lathe work, as it was bend.
Guys, the leg crash guard is of such high quality, it took all the impact and saved my tank and rear cowl from any damage. Funnily, it ain't bent a bit as well. Will change is afterwards though.HH Dawn - TVS Star City - Yamaha Gladiator - TVS RTR 180 - Honda CBR 250R - Yamaha R3

Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
Yes TVS Oil does its job pretty well. People usually copies from Internet & make it an issue, if one say's something is bad it spreads very fast.

But now im using power1 and getting good response as well.BTW i used ELF moto4 once nd guys beleive me this oil suits rtr the best,i toured for 500kms in a day without any hassle and the throttle response i got was best in those 3yrs of my rtr ride...i just loved it:thumbup:Originally posted by shahbaz63 View PostYes TVS Oil does its job pretty well.
