If it happens again, fight and get it replaced.

Where'd you take those pics?

mumbai beaches are as dirty as a pig's arse. any other beach in india would be better. small is good too, less people go to small beaches.

Congrats, dude for your newest acquisition.Dont forget to click some pics of your bike besides the awesome beaches and the brilliant city roads of Vizag.

And about your speedo issue, force them to get a replacement the next time it occurs.

Ride Safe.

Smile My white...220km done

hey guyz..
this r my bike's pics....bought on 5th aug...done 220km uptill now.
Here are my some personal experiences(or thoughts) abt my bike...
1)Looks-->perfect...specially white is outstanding...mine's is 1st in pune
only thing is i have to maintain specially in rainy days...but still i love it.
2)Performance-->since my first service is yet to complete...i am driving it in 4k range RPM.here r some points i noticed(totally my perception)

Braking:
contibution-->60%-front and 40%-rear....they are one of the finest breaks...they r always for u..never misses...just needed a perfect combination of rear n front.the problem i am facing is rear tyre is bit jammed due to disc even break is released...i asked service man he said since it is single piston caliper disc, the piston not recoils completely when brakes r released...but it is managable in front of pull of bike.

Steering:
As u know Apache is famous for its handling...this bike is also damn good...in traffics i easily manage to find out d way.In cornering any turn it considerably leans without losing confidence even though i am not pro rider.it is very flickable. In my bike the handle bit shaking(not vibrating)...i think d allignment of wheels is not upto d mark...but when i asked service man he said its ok.

Acceleration:
I feel the grunt after 3k rpm...i cant say it right now due constraints.Still good lower range torque for traffic.

Engine:
Engine is not so refined. It gets heated up really fast and when its heated it sounds more rough. But earlier it is smooth...the firing is very deep and clear...hope so this will reduce after some service.

this is it...i will be in touch...keep guiding me...and i will ride my loved one.

The bike itself is quite a scorcher. The problem was with Bajaj. They should have withdrawn the bike from the showrooms once they realized that they could not afford to provide support with spares. Shame on them for that.
Fortunately, the highly tuned KB 125 engine of the Prowler was very familiar to local mechanics and didn't pose much of a problem.
Even the RTR180 cant hold a candle to the prowler with regards to low end torque, the thing just pulls.., does 10 kmph in 5th gear add to this a light weight caliber chassis and Brembo disks at the front, you've got a bike that
accelerates fast and stops even faster. The Brembo's were phenomenal, the best brakes ever on an Indian bike, period. Sadly they've gone kaput sometime back and there is no way anyone can fix it.
I've not even tried to sell this bike for fear of being ridiculed.

Does RTR180 has Brembo disk brakes ?

RTR doesn't have but the Pulsars, FZ 16, Unicorn, etc have them.

According to bike india Aug 2009 edition RTR 180 is the winner in 1-100km/hr test. The bikes in the test were P200,r15 and RTR180.

it was actually a 0-100-0 kmph test...RTR 180 won it by a fair margin!!....both in acceleration and Braking it matched or was better than the other bikes....
