Another suggestion for the RTR would be the Veedol Swift 4T

mech there said that its bcoz of dust in rear disc , it will take 30mins time.as it was closing time he askd me to come back tomorrow.
will update after the visit again.

ps:He saw the top speed ,it was 102, he said that u shdnt go so fast , i said i went only after i finished 1000kms (now ~1140kms), he said u shdnt go till 2k-3k kms atleast. is this true?

He is partially correct, there's no harm if you touched 100km/hr but riding at those speeds for a considerable period of time is not advisable.Wait for 2nd service or 2k kms, it would be ideal, then to try out those speeds and do some serious high speed touring!!

some mechs are total idiots, this is one of them. all you have to do is keep from overstressing/overheating the engine. that means no constant high speed runs. actually doing a quick run even to the top speed of the bike followed by an adequate cool down period is completely safe if you've crossed about 500km.

noise from a disc usually indicates particles of debris which are stuck in the rough surface of the pads. when these rub against the disc they make a squeaking/squealing sound. the solution is to remove the pads from the caliper assembly and lightly clean the surfae with medium grit sandpaper. note that rear discs will be more prone to this problem due to more debris thrown up by the rear tyre as compared to the front.

Default 580km done

hi menacers
i am pride owner of white rtr180.Completed 580kms and soon getting my first service.Uptill now i have ride my bike upto 4k into each gear and hardly 5-6 times burst to 60kmph.The issues i was facing r

1)in 2ng gear at around 3k rpm if i tried to maintain throttle at that mark..it just losing breath like hiccups(also the engine feels hard and unrefined) but you will not notice while quick throttle(its smooth and crunchy).

2)i experienced false gearshift 4-5 times and sometimes suudenly neutral between 3rd and 4th gear. But its not too often gears r not having any problem.Only problem is with the ankle is paining when frequent gear shift is done.

3)I have getting a decent mileage of 45+(average)....max was 50 and least was 42(hard acceleration).

4)the handle bar when both hands are releaved...its slightly vibrates(shakes in horizantal direction)...is wheel alignment is OK?

5)suspension r bit hard(i know its for racing characterstics) but still i could have been better if they were smooth.

Else as i already said i am pride owner of white rtr180....and there i am.
please suggest me which engine oil should i use for first service....they r recommending tvs tru4....and also suggest the further run in instructions for 500-1000kms.
thank you all.

finally got my pearl white baby monster yesterday
man i must tel that none can deny that she's hot!
finally finished with all the formalities and pooja and finally woke up tdy morn and did a thorough chk up on her..

few bad things i noticed were..
1)silencer and a few body parts were a lil scratched during transportation
2)bar-end weight was loose(left one) fear that it may fall off
3)the rubber band beneath the seat was missing (one used to fix the tools)
4)saree guard paint already started to peel off.. poor quality
5)pillion left foot rest was defective..wasnt locking

and guys i want ur say on the last one.. do any of u have a gap in between while closing the pillion footrest to the closed position..? is doesn't close fully right..?(maybe due to the rubber on it)

@jay:My Apache 180 too faces everything except the scratch and 4th point.add to it the thud sound(sometimes) may be due to cone set issue.I will have to visit them for 1st service for all of this.the rubber band is missing in most apache 180's ex-stock.

Even my brother's bike behaves like that.Dont know the exact reason.

2)i experienced false gearshift 4-5 times and sometimes suudenly neutral between 3rd and 4th gear. But its not too often gears r not having any problem.Only problem is with the ankle is paining when frequent gear shift is done.

Hmm..One more false gearshift issue.Ask the svc ppl to check the clucth cable play

3)I have getting a decent mileage of 45+(average)....max was 50 and least was 42(hard acceleration).

Cool

4)the handle bar when both hands are releaved...its slightly vibrates(shakes in horizantal direction)...is wheel alignment is OK?

Check the bearings inside the steering cone. They might have less grease in them.

5)suspension r bit hard(i know its for racing characterstics) but still i could have been better if they were smooth.

Try a softer setting

Else as i already said i am pride owner of white rtr180....and there i am.

Smile post 500km recommendations?(after 1st service)

Done 1st service....they used tvs tru4 oil as they were saying it is recommended in manual....about the issue that in secong gear the bike drop down the throttle arround 3k rpm...svc guy told clucth setting were lose.....the intensity is reduced but there is still some part remaining.
After service bike feeled smoother than before but only for a day.....the problem is it vibrates a lot during 4k to 5k stretch in 1st,2nd gears.....the intensity reduces as u increase gears.....I drive upto 5k rpm in each gear and shift higher.....is 5k recommende or still i use 4k limit as in 0-500km....please advice me about this run in of 500-1000km since idont like that vibrations and engine tappet sound....help me guyz.thank u
