It feels like it has been a while since the last INTERMOT. After 4 years, INTERMOT made a comeback in 2022. The previous expo was due in 2020 but it was cancelled because of the pandemic and since INTERMOT is organized every 2 years, this year’s event is making a comeback after 4 years.

This year’s INTERMOT had a total of around 1,00,000 visitors from 75 countries around the world. Numerous launches and unveilings took place in addition to other attractions. It was a great sight to see the restart of one of the world’s biggest motorcycle expos. There were more than 1,300 motorcycles and scooters from various classes, brands, and types. The enthusiasm in people was palpable as the test track was flooded by people.

Then there was the WORLD OF SHOP@INTERMOT where, for the first time, people had a chance to buy products from the trade fair. Invariably, clothing and helmets were the main attractions. Finally, another addition was the WORLD OF eNNOVATION and as the name suggests, it was focused on the manufacturers of e-bikes and e-scooters.

Undeniably one of the greatest motorcycle expos, INTERMOT has long served as a platform to bring consumers and manufacturers together so which proves beneficial for both. The consumers get to test the vehicles and the manufacturers get to be apprised of the consumer mindset to be able to innovate and bring out the right products.

We have been going to the INTERMOT since 2016 and have had our stalls there too. 2020 was a disappointing year where we had to miss attending the expo but this year’s edition of INTERMOT washed all of that away. While we had our fair share of fun exploring the various exhibits and stalls, the custom motorcycle section was a cracker this year too. We got to witness some truly amazing craftsmanship along with some stunning and some truly outrageous customs. As always, we are looking forward to the next edition in 2024.
