Although, taking down the number and reporting could have been effective which I realized late at night during discussion with friends. I don't know why everybody thinks I'm insecure, I'm not. I'm into the American firearm community and as they say "Better have it and never need it than not having it when need arises". It's very rare for a cop to stop a bicyclist even at checkpoint here and even if they do, they never search the rider or the bicycle. Just asks a few questions and let them go. Anyway, who said I was carrying the chain as weapon? I just got my chain replaced and was carrying the old one to use as chain with a lock

When some over smart people consider the highway their play ground.

A bunch of motorcyclists were speeding up and down on the Mumbai highway in the wrong side of the road, and this is how the night ended for one of them.Was that fun and showoff worth it ?

Even near kanamwar nagar on the eastern expressway in mumbai people cross on bikes to go to other side of the highway....dumb people the next u turn is just a km away but still people risk their lives and put others in danger i have seen cops do the same thing.... Would we call the people running with HIGH BEAMS on local streets idiots
be it cars or bikes, some just don't want to pay heed to others.. They run with high beams only..
I had my share of dangrous moments when i couldn't see a path-hole due to high beam of a car.. Lost my balance but somehow got my ride back on road..
the situation gets even worse during rains..

99% of the Indian junta would fall into the Idiot category then. Almost every other vehicle uses the high beam in city limits.

Its the cops mainly mixed with a lot of ignorant people and some innocent villagers.

Even though i've been proclaiming myself as being an idiot sometime or the other... I can hold my head high and proud in this regard... I absolutely make sure i'm on low beam... most of the times im just riding with the parking lights on (in the city's lit streets)... actually more than enough light if every high beamed idiot decides to use low or parking.

Right so here goes the kudos for a few more idiots below.

So often I have seen innocent drivers or bikers being bashed mercilessly by a bunch of people after an accident and the worst part is no one dares to intervene here in pune . Going violent with them can never be helpful
Driving with high beam should be made a finable offence I feel . But as if it's ever going to affect these dumbos. Pedestrians here are a real bunch of retards thinking they're taking a stroll in a park or something.
Had an accident 2 months back when a drunk guy came running across the highway and i banged into him. Had no injuries due to the gear but the aftermath was pretty bad. This guy had a whole bunch of thugs with him. They pulled me off the road before helping the guy so that I don't run off.The whole intention of this group then was bashing me up and teaching me a nice lesson. Somehow I managed to plead them to let me go. The worst part was there were two hawaldars around and even they didn't help me. They just turned away blindly. All throughout this whole scene was going on this drunk chap just lay there on the freaking highway, that too on the right most lane. I urged those guys to help him first then sort out things with me. I still freak out just thinking of those 10 - 15 people surrounding me and hurling abuses while threatening to tear me apart .
So overall I feel that riding around in our country is pretty damn tough with a lot of small small things to take care of it order to reach our destination safely. If however something goes wrong then impulsive decisions should be avoided and in case of things turning violent words must be chosen very carefully.
What do you guys think?

Ture what you said.. Riding in India is a risky affair.. And thank god that they didn't beat you.. Lucky..
let the drunkards be, the local 'dudes' who roam around markets, malls think they can do anything and ride in a very rash manner.. And by chance they hit anyone, that person is in deep shit.. They won't accept their mistakes and start fighting..

Never ever stop after you hit someone or animals on the road, you might get beaten even if it is not your fault. Can you believe me, I was manhandled for trying to help 2 girls dix their scooty that would not start.

I never stopped. But fell on the road due to the impact and my bike lay almost 10mts away from me. And those guys caught me just then. I thought they were helping me get up. But it was otherwise
