Other android phones with front facing cameras, the camera is used for video chatting only( with apps like 'fring') eg. Dell streak.
So manufactures never felt the need to put a front camera for low-mid end android phones.

Seeing the increasing customer demand they sure know the need to provide secondary camera but yeah they didn't as it was not supported by Android. Handsets using Symbian and all have been providing secondary camera for quite sometime.

Nokia C6 tried to bring in all that with the S60 5th edition but failed badly. Hopefully samsung gets a similar fone(somewhat like C6 in terms of features & a better firmware to support it) with Froyo in and around 12-15k

Dude u can Restore your iphone with iTunes(Which remove passkey & restore to factory settings) & if its not factory unlock you can jailbreak & unlock it later

Hi Guys!

I'm planning to pick up a new phone, & my main requirements are:
Camera
Wi-Fi
3G
Video Calling
Social Networking
GPS

I have shortlisted the Nokia C6 & Nokia X6.
What is your opinion of these phones?

I'm open to phones of other brands as well, but would like to avoid Micromax, Karbon etc. Anything you guys would suggest.
& yes, my budget is 14k-15k.

+1 BUT

Wave costs 17k.. there are zero 'New' Wave S8500 currently available for sale in India.. (By my estimates considering the amount of time it took me to procure one)

need a new phone

hey guys I need an new phone.....
location: bangalore
budget: upto 12k .....may be extended by 1 or 2k if getting something very nice....

I have sorted a few.........
nokia C6, N97 mini (or N97).......all three are almost same.........
please point out if there is some big difference (other than memory and keypad) between c6 and n97 mini....

Asus P750

HTC Touc Pro2..... I guess this will be out of my budget

nokia C5.... in case I have to reduce my budget further....

.....but this will be special case....

by going through their specs you can understand that I want every thing in less price.....

at present I am more biased towards C6......

please help......

Even I had same budget and similar requirement and shortlisted C6. But dude it turned out to be a serious flop due to hanging problems. Try N97 mini rather. For furtehr info go check NOKIA forum. Used X6 too and nothing great about it. Resistive touch screens suck.

If you dont have any issues with BADA then you can even look at Samsung S8500 Wave.

P.S : Dont write off Micromax just because its phones are priced low. Its rated one of the Top INNOVATORs in mobile industry for the year 2010

I wouldn't mind picking an android phone, but none of them (models in my budget i.e. 15k) have video calling.

& unfortunately, N97 mini has been stopped.

I don't think I would go for Micromax. No offence meant to you, but awards or not, I'm not attracted to that brand.

Any other phones that you can think of?

I wont explain why.. (b'coz I have already done it manyatimes on this thread) but..

If you have a budget of 15k.. please please buy a LG Optimus One P500. Google it and you will know why I recommend this for any buyer with a budget of all the way up to 17k even though the thing sells for like <12k.

if you dont find them bad then there's nothing like it in that range. But make sure you dont do multitasking. One call while browsing and you will need to open and re-insert the battery

Lol...no offence taken...Technically, I dont own any cellfone now. Just that I keep track of what's happening around in that world

Also: I own a Wave S8500. You wont find one to buy because Samsung a'int making any. It is damn good.. but isn't made. Other option is a Nokia N8 (Costs 21 odd) but if you dont bring UI into consideration, it is very very good.
