N9 still has a lot of time to be released. It may just be announced next month and most probably won't be released until the end of this year.

And yes, most models have their variants. But I don't think they plan on releasing N8 32GB anytime soon, or even release it, it does not make any improvement to the phone as such. Get the N8 while it's still cool and then sell it when you want to get the N9

The N8 is one mean phone, I'm loving it.

Sarvajit, do you really want to invest in a moible or throw your money on a Nokia handset ?25 k for a ~600Mhz processor where the competition are at 1 ghz and fantastic touch support ? Think twice before getting it. I did love the N8, but now i have taken a oath that i will not get another Nokia phone untill they have a decent CPU,RAM and Good UI and a OS that doesnt hang. Why dont you get some phone which has a fluid UI and more over, an OS which doesnt hang with a decent 5 MP cam ??

why dont you wait for Galaxy S2, Samsung Omnia 7 and Dell venue pro ? Even am looking for a good phone

well said,,its useless to get a Nokia N8 at this period of time,,,when the competitors are playing up with heapy processors and lightning quick UI...really i hated N8[just my opinion]...by seeing the review and promotions put forward by nokia before releasing N8 made me think that nokia has done their home work,,they still fail in front of android and IOS...which are way ahead... at-least they should try switching to android or maemo OS else they should try creating a OS of their own such as samsung BADA OS..nokia n8 with 32gig is gonna make it even slower, the only thing i liked in nokia n8 is its 12mpxl cam...even the HD video recording is no where close to samsung wave in fps.i dont think nokia N9 is gonna make any sense by then samsung would have released a updated galaxy s2 and Sony play-station phone is also on its way.and never trust a nokia touch phone with symbian os running in it,,,no offense nokia guys..i too was a nokia fan boy before,,,i dont tust them anymore...

I am sure many of Nokia haters are going by gadget blogs such as engadget etc... they are very biased towards Nokia. Read gsmarena for proper reviews.

This has nothing to do with the reviews.Am talking about user functionality and its all pure common sense. When the Samsung omnia HD was able to run the Symbian OS without any hiccups
I have been using nokia right from the day they had Engage and owned, QD, 6600, 7610, N82 and currently with N73ME for last 4 years. I dont find any changes
from the QD days. They still hang pathetically, one reason being the mediocre amount of ram in these devices. More over, the quality of the response from Nokia
to the customers are extremely overwhelming. If you still think I am a Nokia hater, then probable you are a Nokia fan boy. No offence meant ;-)

PS:The N8 we bought 2 weeks back was returned the second days itself for a Samsung wave 2. I still feel the Omnia HD to be superior to Nokia N8 in over all functionality in many ways. I hope at least some will agree to this.

I never read reviews from blogs and start scribbling.I have used nokia for years starting from 3310,8210,6310,ngage,ngage qd,5510,3220,3230,3250,6680,6600,7610,n91,n73,n82, n95,n79,n97,5800,e90,n900,n8.these are just nokia phones which I had samsung iphones and Sony phones too mostly all high end ones that's the reason I was stating nokia touch phones is really bad in touch functionality .no offense nokia guys it's just my opinion.

Gpfreak@I agree with you bro I had omnia hd for 2months and I just loved it.I will say it is the best symbian phone ever.king of symbian phones.I was using a hacked firmware on it.it still can eat n8 in UI .was very responsive in deed

Dear, symbian OS is almost dead and also there are few takers of Win7 and samsung's BADA.

So android is booming these days, as its light, customizable and millions of application in android market are there and what's more all major brands like SE, Samsung, HTC, Motorola are adopting it.

Nokia can gain its market share back only if comes to main stream i.e. launches android based sets, if it sticks to symbian, its gonna sink.

I have just rounded off two mobiles, If its windows, its gonna be Omnia 7 and if its Android, it will be the Galaxy S2. Am sold on the construciton of the Omnia

Waiting for Galaxy S2&Nokia N9.
I don't think I can cope with a Windows phone.
My wishlist is really huge, but not completely unjustifiable:
1. Minimum 4.3" capacitive touch AMOLED screen (preferably Super AMOLED)
2. Front VGA camera
3. Rear minimum 8mp autofocus+dual LED flash (preferably Xenon flash) with 1080p
4. Optical zoom (I wish)
5. Minimum 1GHz processor (preferably dual core)
6. Minimum 2GB RAM
7. 3G, EDGE, HSUPA, the likes
8. Slide out QWERTY keyboard
9. NFC chip embedded
10. East Asian language support (input&reading)
Now what will satisfy all this?
