Features are great for this price range, I feel. Extensively read online reviews and decided to go for it.

The super Amoled Plus is here...No waiting brother. Check the specs of the Galaxy S-II. Though it doesnt satisfy the list of things you had put up(2012, you might have a chance to get a mobile all the above specs), the S2 looks like an over all phone 1GB ram, dual core 1GHz, 8 Mp cam with flash and also hardware encryption and VPN facility. But i am sure samsung will release the same specs with a physical keyboard. This one has a 2Mp front cam. Its time for video calls. I was already sold on the previous Galaxy's specs and the dislay. The new Display has even more pixel count. Now where is the opposition??

can anyone tell me how gps works?
i have an acer e101 and whenever i click on gps, a notification pops-up that close all the running gps apps where as not even single app is open.
is there any settings required for using gps?

Guys, I have been using Nokia N8 for 5 months now, and I have mostly positive feedback to tell.

N8 is getting lot of criticism due to less processor & RAM, but it's not reflected in the UI.
I tried running music player, opera browser, e-mail, a 3D game in front and all this over an HDMI connection on my 42'' TV... It handled everything like a champ! Interface is fast enough for my needs too, and the 3D games are cool!
I really like the audio too. Some really high quality music there. It plays every damn video I had except for .MKV or .DAT, and now it even has subtitle support!

Apps are really useful and utilize the hardware quite well! It's very durable and sturdy too. No creaking panels or anything. It charges via PC too, so I never run out of battery..
It hanged only twice in these 5 months, when I was installing some crazy stuff or something, and then I pressed the power key for 8 seconds, and it switched off and I restarted it.

Bad points:
1. Video zoom has a minor lag between 1-2x zoom, as beyond it, it uses the full sensor capacity. Very small point though.

2. Stock Browser could improve a lot, like tabbed browsing, starting page with links, stability, etc. Opera installed on my set, has it though, but opera crashes sometimes when the set is tilted and its orientation is changed.

3. More free apps and advert-free apps in the Ovi Store would be appreciated, although Nokia did make some cool free apps like Loop, etc.

In all, if it lasts for a long time, I'll be happy about this decision I made. Symbian is a matured OS.
In a way, N8 is just like Karizma - owners are having good times with it, while critics say that 17 PS (or 660 MHZ processor) is not enough. We need 21 PS (or 1 Ghz processor)!

N8 is one hell of a multimedia phone. nobody disagrees that. Problem is it is symbian, which was in dying stages. And now nokia has gone into a partnership with Microsoft.
