My suggestion: Get a 3G netbook instead&save the money.
I know i know. Its not the battery which exites me, its only the screen

    nexus prime - 1.5ghz
    SE arc S - 1.4GHZ
    Galaxy Note - 1.4GHZ
    Wave 3 - 1.4 GHz
    Galaxy S2 - 1.2GHZ
The processor in the Galaxy note is the same exynos processor in the Galaxy s2.

Fyi, i believe there are two 1 Ghz core running at 600 Mhz each in S2 and 700 Mhz each in Note.

The same chip set will be over clocked for other offerings from samsung. I dont think any phone can still keep up with the same Exynos chipset. Once all these phones are out, the benchmarks will probably let you know which is still the king of the hill

Simply said, its not the CC that counts for me, its the power and torque.

      • Get the Galaxy S and throw the gingerbread at it from SAMFIRMWARES

BUT if you are really into modding, the Nexus S is a better tool

PS: Galaxy AFAIK has a expandable memory option which Nexus doesnt and the galaxy also has a better build quality

The Galaxy note has a much higher resolution screen @ 1280x780 which is almost the same as my Laptop's 1280x800. Those who value sharper picture, will value the extra screen real estate. Browsing full sized web pages will be a breeze. And ask any 10 inch Android Tab user whether he would like his tab smaller and have phone functionality. I think the answer for most would be YES.

                    • Galaxy S2 STOLEN !

Friends, somebody has stolen my Galaxy S2 two days ago while I was travelling in a local bus from Bannerghatta X Road to Ragi Gudda (BANGALORE)... I am having only IMEI number and bill but don't have any insurance.

Plz help how can I try to trace my mobile here in Bangalore. I'm really extremely depressed since last 2 days & unable to concentrate on anything. After every short while, I'm getting very sad and down.

Ok, read carefully. Call your number and try to get it recovered. If it says, "not reachable" it means your SIM Card has been removed by someone...

If so, get an F. I. R registered in the nearest police station. Take your mobile bill with you. Wait for one month after the FIR for police to reply back, keep pestering them in the meantime...

If in one month they don't get your phone, ask your relatives if they have some contacts in Police. Then, take their help alongwith the copy of your FIR...

(See, Police can recover a set if someone has replaced your SIM, as with every new SIM inserted, the IMEI goes to the mobile service provider, which ever it is. But Police rarely take action, unless some relative asks for it.
My friends' sister's Samsung phone was stolen for 8 months and a FIR was written. Then, a distant relative arrived who had some contacts in Police and was told about the phone. The police came back with the phone within 4 days then.)

So don't get disappointed. I could have helped you with contacts, but I'm here in Rajasthan so you'll have to do it yourself...

Thanks for such great support, actually I'm from Hyd and arrived here in BLR for training purpose and on very next day of me arriving here - someone stolen it in local bus. I really don't know anyone who can help me out, if it was Hyd then I had used all possible contacts which I do have.

My phone was having Airtel postpaid connection from Hyd., and was stolen on 05-Oct.

Advice me further on above scenario... I can't say in words how depressed I am, on losing my best possession.

                          • Guys I want a decent 3G phone which is easy to type and has good GPS. Budget less than 10K. Zeroed in on Nokia C5-03, E5 and Samsung Galaxy Pro. Nokia is terrific for its maps and Samsung is terrific for its processor and RAM.
C5-03 looks very good with a great display but the resistive touch screen is something I don't prefer as you'd have to press hard every time.
E5 is good. I dont have anything against it.
Samsung Galaxy Pro is very fast but I doubt if GPS can be used like how we can use Ovi maps. Is there a work around for this?
Nothing in this list has a secondary camera for video calls. One drawback. Are there any alternatives?
I tried the Ericsson phones but they don't seem to be good in anything but audio. I hate slider phones.

Nokia C5-03 is nothing but old Nokia 5800 in a new dress.

You can't use OVI maps other than Nokia (AFAIK) and I completely agree with you about it's offline navigation (when no internet around). So you have to decide.

E5 is good but you loose the touch capability.

If you have money and patience wait for Galaxy M Pro B7800. It got 1ghz procy and second camera for vido calling hopefully.

Though about Navigation and that too offline.....there is no alternative OVI Maps + Nokia combo.

All andriod device need to go online to use Gmaps for navigation...Some offline maps available though but they are not anywhere near to OVI Maps.
