Yes, that is the way I came down from Lumia 710 to N500; but that's not the only way I look forward to buy. I go linear with requirements & then finally narrow down with price.
100%; that's why when I thought of mobile, I couldn't think anything beyond Nokia & Samsung; since I've bitter experience with Samsung, I opted Nokia; but upon research, SE seems to be promising

@aargee
I hope you are same person found in TBHP forum. There is an active thread on Android, which might benefit you. Am not a member there, but I keep a tap on Android and GPS related discussions. I hope its not an offense to point someone to a different forum.

I thought memory card additions are once in life time isn't it? I didn't quite get your point

Nice, but for the price, Xperia U is better...that's what I think. Excellent battery life though
Edit - Didn't know Xperia U doesn't have provision for additional memory slot
You get 2gb for apps. Which should be more than enough. I use less than a gb. and you get 4gb for media. Unless you use more than 4gb for songs/photos the Sony U is for you
Salient Features:
Android (Which means all your software related requirements are covered)
Upgradeable to ICS
Walkman
Long battery life

I'm really not a fanboy, If you were comparing Bada vs Android then I'd definitely vote for Android. But when it comes to the rest, Android just fails to amuse me. The only notable OS that I find comparable to the Android is BB OS, they're like 2 peas in a pod, the only difference is that BB OS runs on RAM.
Currently on my Android, me using 9 apps. among which 2 are supposed to be paid.
The lack of complexity while using cracked apps itself is enough to point out that this can never be considered as a true SmartPhone OS, I can keep explaining my above statement but you wont be able to keep up, cause if you did then you wont be supporting Android.
Lol, BB OS has more market share than Symbian, now I believe you understand, why NOT to buy a phone based on its market share reviews. And opting for Android based on one of the above mentioned review is the best example of herd mentality. So I'd suggest you to try out an OS before you opt for it, rather than going for it based on general reviews of what other people has to say, cause ultimately the market share isnt going to make the phone more useable.
Nobody is a genius like you buddy, nobody wants complexity. Bada is a blatant copy of android if i may so say.
And I would say BB is also better than symbian. Symbian was lame. I was never attracted to smartphones. When I was in school and my uncle got that Eseries from Nokia it just sucked !! THERE WAS NOTHING !!! all it could do was open office files. no good cam, music player. I think that was the fall of both BB and symbian they wanted to be too much of a smartphone.
Anyway what are the two paid apps that you use? the only app i need to buy is tapatalk to use for xbhp and couple of other forums but am not buying it. use browser or wait till i get to a pc.
@RG Since you are on to Sony and Android now, check this one out.. its retailing around 13.5k
Very correct; but I'm contemplating this one with Xperia U. But where I get hasty is how come the battery life of XPeria is extremely high on Walkman but very low on talk time
Go to the last part where it says...
XPeria U - Standard battery, Li-Ion 1320 mAh
WT19i - Standard battery, Li-Ion 1200 mAh
Standby
XPeria U - Up to 260 h (2G) / Up to 472 h (3G)
WT19i - Up to 350 h (2G) / Up to 400 h (3G)
Talktime
XPeria U - Up to 6 h 36 min (2G) / Up to 5 h 36 min (3G)
WT19i - Up to 14 h 15 min (2G) / Up to 6 h 42 min (3G)
Music play
XPeria U - Up to 45 h
WT19i - Up to 17 h 30 min
PS - No wonder I was able to find a concrete price for Galaxy Ace 2

Might store Shawshank Redemption & few other movies hence opting for more memory
Haha.. then forget Xperia u. but movie watching on a mobile is very draining on both yourself and the battery.
Only once; if I buy, it will be 32GB, which is the max it supports
The walkman is for you.

^^^ Thanks
Out of curiosity, why Walkman (WT19i) & not Xperia U
