The bike is back after the service, Oil changed to Motul 300v.
Sprocket + chain to be changed(not in stock)
Conset to be changed(not in stock)
        De-carbonized and engine flushed.
Break fluid refilled, and rest of the usual service.

The bike is running smother now, just waiting for the conset and sprocket set.

Well, I just today took a video, with me touching 151 on the ODO.
Well to be honest, my average use to be 30, then after I got the mod, it came up to 40, with the same tuning, now I rip like hell, always, and the carb is on the richer side and I get 35.
Will have to edit the video, then will upload

yeah in theory , a free flow exhaust and ported cylinder heads are supposed to increase efficiency because there is overall lesser turbulence inside the engine ( hence the term free flow exhaust ) .. So this leads to better combustion .. But the general misconception is that FE drops after a performance mod.

Its like a beer belly .. Beer doesnt make you fat .. It builds appetite and hence you pig out on food after beer so the overall effect is growing a belly

So the mileage seems to drop because of the tendency to actually do justice to the mod ( read ripping ) ...

(sorry for discussing alcohol everyone , but this the best example that struck me )

thats the theory of it ..

But IT ACTUALLY HOLDS GOOD !!!! damn ... i cant wait to get it done ..
And eagerly waiting for the video bro

awesome, i know and have seen what a r15 can do, but this video is really nice, may be its due to the reason that it has been done in bad traffic conditions.

Here is my top speed of 151 on video, the sound isnt great as had to edit the video, will try to make one in the night, just with the top speed, so wont have to edit it, it will be shorter than 15 mins so again no editing.

The start contains the top speed part, rest is just my riding.Forgive the quality, the sound and video on my cell is great, but its not come out that well he...

                    wow that's a long video.

will wait for the night version.

is 151kmph the fastest you've been ever after the mod?
or is it the fastest you've managed capturing on video???

what was ur top-speed before the mod??
                    .

I had done 159, but this is with a 37 T rear sprocket, not the 36 T, thats why.
I am surprised it even reached 151.
My stock use to do 145-146, never more.

Well, I am not exactly a authority in mods, but from what I have see and felt is that air filter do not give their money's worth.
Also from what I have heard, most after market sprokects aren't really reliable.
So do find out about the Vortex in detail and if it works, I would be glad to get one for me.

Im Pretty aware of most of the custom bike mods shops here in bangalore...will find out a bit more and get the Vortex sprocket fixed...will upload pics as soon as possible.. abt the K&N filter, every1 who owns a pulsar says a open cylinder filter will give the roaring sound when u open the throttle...n it isnt supposed to hamper the overall mileage of the bike as well...but dono more to shed light on the topic in detail..

Well if you just want the sound then yes it will give you, else you can get a Pipercross, it gives a much better roar.
Connect the Conical Air Filter to the carb directly for maximum sound and then get bigger jets for a little increase in performance, if you do not get new jets, your performance will decrease, but with new and bigger jets, it should increase.

Also do remember that sprockets need to be of proper size and proper pitch, the Pulsars have a pitch of 520.

                                u want a K&N filter only for a "roaring sound" ?

mileage might go up... but revving the bike to induce "roaring sound" brings mileage down again.

K&N's will work moderately better tho... if you upjet & add a tuned FFE too.
