Adios amigos. Have been following this thread lately and silently and must say that's a heck of an info there. Kudos!!
Now I think I am in the know, for the most part, or at least
. Since I too am not a mech head I need to throw in a few questions from my side, being a noob myself
Anyone installed the 2011 version of the FFE alone to their 220? And not to beat a dead horse again but, does it comes with the DB killer I guess it's removable right?
And secondly, again, this has been repeated but just to make my mind. The quality of the FFE, how is it guys, please shed me some light.
Thirdly and lastly, RAW POWER FIGURES. Just with the exhaust alone, with the DB killer removed, anyone has any wide grin in their face, the performance figures, please...
Thanks guys
Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Review of Race Concepts FFE for P200
It was a routine day when I started my bike and was riding towards work, I had just started my ride hardly 3-4kms away from home. I stopped at a traffic light and suddenly a loud baang!!!
With great force I was pushed forward and I barely managed to keep my balance, recovering and quite puzzled I looked back and to my horror I saw my bike's silencer broken and twisted and another look behind me I saw a 100cc commuter resting on the ground with his bike
That idiot wanted to jump the traffic light and banged straight on my bikes silencer. After lots of heated arguments he left while I was stuck in middle of the road.
I did some jugaad and managed to reach home with my wounded partner.
So that's when Race Concepts came into picture. I exchanged some mails with Joel, read all the reviews here on xbhp, compared the price of stock exhaust vs. FFE also saw many videos on xbhp which helped me in deciding for the Race Concepts FFE and also because of the following reasons:
- I have been riding a stock bike from the past 4 years and I was getting bored with its performance.
- Price of both the Stock Exhaust and FFE were exactly the same.
On 12th Dec, I transferred the money in Joel's account and mailed him my confirmation.
Joel promised me to deliver it in a few days since the new batch of FFE was almost ready but due to some delays at his end it got delayed. After many phone calls and arguments with Joel the FFE was finally booked with DTDC on 28th Dec and then another hurdle came. DTDC proved to be very unprofessional in handling the courier, I was unable to track the courier since there was no update on their website and even the customer care proved to be useless and then lastly I had to use some approach in DTDC to trace my courier in which some more time was wasted and my lost my patience totally.
On 31stDec I got a call from the person in DTDC that my courier has reached at the NCR branch but they won't deliver it before 2nd Jan. Frustrated, I decided to visit their distribution center and pick it myself from there. So I rushed to their office in the evening gave them a piece of my mind and finally saw the exhaust.
Sadly the FFE wasn't packed as I had expected it to be packed; it was just wrapped in plastic and was sent without any cardboard box to protect it from damages. I immediately called Joel to confirm about the packaging and he confirmed it was sent in just a plastic wrap and without the DB Killer.
@ Joel
The exhaust has small scratches on the pipe,1 big dent at the backside of the canister and 1 small dent at the backside of the pipe coming from the head. Although these are not visible when installed but getting a damaged exhaust isn't what I had expected.
Anyways after all the troubles finally my FFE was in my hands and I had to install it since I have to use my bike for daily commuting to work.
Joel what can be done for the dents now? Also waiting for the DB Killer.
First Impression:
- Extremely small and compact looking exhaust.
- When I picked it up I expected it to be a little heavy but surprisingly it was extremely light weight. It should be max 2kgs!! Stock exhaust of my P200 looks so bulky and heavy in comparison.
- Chrome finish is good. Although I wish Joel had provided an option of a stainless steel version of FFE, I would have happily paid 1-2k extra.
- Build quality seems to be good till now (long term testing will let me know more)
- This FFE has main stand stopper which was missing earlier in previous version.
Installation Day - 1stJan
Forgot to buy the exhaust gasket from Bajaj and had to source it locally but didn't use the new one since the old one was stuck with the head and was in a good condition.
@Joel
Should I replace the gasket?
Installation was quite simple and hardly took us 10mins to install the FFE.
The mechanic's reaction was quite funny when he saw the FFE..
Mechanic 1- Oh sir this is so light weight where did you get it from?
Me- yes, this is a FFE and is supposed to be lighter and I ordered it from Bangalore.
Mechanic 2 to Mechanic 1
Me- Yeah whatever install quickly.
Issues with main Stand Stopper:
First Ride Impression:
Started the bike and it came to life with a deep and bassy sound from the FFE and boy I was excited. Revved it a little and Wooow it sounded soo loud and almost scary at first.
Put it in 1st gear and released the clutch and there you go a small wheelie (my first wheelie on any bike) and front tire back to the ground don't know if it is due to the increased torque or it happened due to my excitement. Scared all the kids and pedestrians on the way.
Bike hits the rev limiter very easily now and I touched 100 in no time. Brakes feel awfully weak now! There is a nice increase in mid-high end torque low end too feels a little better than before.
Overall I am quite satisfied with the performance except of some issues that I have mentioned above.

@ashish - As explained to you on the delivery, we are working on this with the courier guys to deliver the exhaust in the right manner. To combat this issue, we are working on making a 2-piece version which will be boxed and sent to prevent shipping damage.
You dont need to change the exhaust gasket, if the old one wasnt ripped off when you removed your old exhaust.
The db killer will reach you shortly as intimated!sigpic

@Joel: I have bought an exhaust from you and have faced almost the same issues with regards to delivery(a month plus after payment) and the exhaust being wrapped in plastic and with a small dent too. Please refer to the mails with mikhail.ait @ gmail.comOriginally posted by Joel View Post@ashish - As explained to you on the delivery, we are working on this with the courier guys to deliver the exhaust in the right manner. So far i have not installed the FFE as i have been touring a lot. In one of the mails i did ask whether it shipped with a Db killer and didn't get a reply. Kindly let me know if you can ship the db killer to me too. Without it, the exhaust would be meaningless for daily use in a cop sensitive place like NCR.

Any suggestions for the main stand stopper issue?

AShish - you need to insert a rubber into the hole provided in the new exhaust, from your old one. The stand will get back to its original position and not touch the chain.sigpic
